Found another weird anomaly today that wasn't happening before this recent update. If you show hidden files and access the .HomeTheater folder, there are separate folders for backdrops and poster that Zidoo downloads if local images aren't available.

I have always provided my own fanart and posters with correct naming, and set the Zidoo to use local images first and prioritize NFO. This has always worked perfect with no scraping issues. After recently adding a show and doing a recent rescrape though, Zidoo downloaded default posters for every single title in my collection. The local poster I have on my drives are still being displayed and when I go to change image, there is still a hard drive icon in the corner of my art. I don't understand why Zidoo is downloading all of the posters though. I thought it only did that if it couldn't find or use the local art?

That explains it then thank you @roirraWedorehT for explaining this. I’ve never done A update like this before, found the file no problem on my network and I did the update. Hopefully this will fix my problem. Thanks again

There is still a problem with matching posters
When I scan all the files in general, there is a problem. Some of the files it does not recognize, some it matches posters that are not related to the files at all,
Then when I want to fix it, I do a specific match to the file with a search and it works
    Please fix this please

I have added several movies to my NAS recently... and all were correctly matched with proper posters. So, pretty safe to say your issue is something not related to the HT5 app update fix. More likely due to a naming issue with your files or they are very obscure titles?

Yep, it's all down to naming.

This happens in TV series, I'll give you an example, The Last of Us S01. I didn't have a problem with the posters before, and now I do.

  8. I'm trying to understand if you have a similar issue as mine I posted about before, although no one had any suggestion: https://forum.zidoo.tv/index.php?th...f-series-get-the-american-gods-poster.100480/

Not necessarily the exact same thing, but are you saying that the files get matched to the correct title, but only the poster is wrong, such as in my thread linked above? It's always only for series for me, although as I said, my issue might be slightly different than yours as they always get the American Gods poster for the first three seasons to any series I add. The poster is the only thing that's wrong.

Or for you, are the files actually recognized as the wrong thing, as well, so matched to the wrong series, in which case the poster of course would be wrong?

I don't have very many TV series, but those all still matched with correct posters as well... and this is using the latest HT5 patch because I recently cleared out my database and did a full rescan. I do keep my TV series sources separate from my regular movie sources and the one thing I do differently for those sources for scanning them is I manually select the TVDB? or one of the TV database options instead of the default "Intelligent". I found that it worked better...

    @roirraWedorehT

The problem is very similar, if not necessarily this one, it's not just the poster, it's all showing me a different TV series and if I run the episode, then the episode works, except that all the data is wrong, and I tried to do a factory reset for the z9x and I also tried to do a re scan for my smb, it doesn't help, the only thing that helps me fix it is simply to re match and manually search for its title and do a rematch.

  11. Okay, actually, then, in my opinion, it's not a similar problem at all. Respectfully, as others had said, it's likely the names of the files that are throwing it off. If you can give some example filenames that were recognized wrong, that could help confirm that.

This worked for me before and now only manually re match cause I got wrong details

I tried what you suggested and even more, I left only the name with season and episode number and it didn't work, and again it worked in the past, by the way the second season is the same and it does work there.

Not to mention, why do you have all those delimiters (periods) in your file name?? Take those out that are between the words of your title.. not necessary and possibly confusing for matching as well...

Installed HT5 and noticed that movies with a comma don't get a match.

Has it always been like this or am I doing something wrong?

How have you named the folder the files are located?

I really don’t know what else to suggest. I dragged my copy out of my TV archive and installed it on one of my internal Zidoo drives. It immediately started to match without any issues. I had named my files just like your complete with the dots! At the bottom of the image you will see the file name.

I see you used the abbreviated name, did the full name I gave you work?
Try putting them in the folder The.Last.of.Us.S01.2160p.HMAX.WEB-DL.x265.10bit.HDR.DDP5.1.Atmos
That's the name of the folder they're in.
