    Yes, Z9x was updated to v6.4.68 the day it had become available. Moreover, even the TMDB & TVMAZE have started displaying blank thumbnails. Any workaround is much appreciated. Thanks.

    Z9X on v6.4.68 and HTv4.3.52 and both TV and movie scraping working just fine (UK) so I'm guessing it's a local internet issue.

    @Markswift2003, All the poster scraping sources are displaying partial or no information at all, I fail to understand how the local internet connection is affecting this whole scenario, whereas it does connect to the sites but with partial information only. Is it possible the net provider is blocking the access to these sites? But then again, it did not happen in the past. This has been going on for the recent past 5 days. I tried using the tiny Media Manager too but to of no avail. Any suggestions please? Thanks.

    Not sure exactly what's going on, but if I go to change artwork on a poster, most (but not all) posters show "Source fanart.com" as always, but if you go to fanart.com it seems to be up for sale despite the Zidoo still being able to access the posters...

    Ah - ok, it's fanart.tv - it's just the Zidoo reports it incorrectly!
    Can you get to fanart.tv on a web browser?
     
  5. I just checked and it's the same, except I don't have a second Zidoo of a different model.

    Edit: Scratch that, I was able to scroll the subtitle list just fine.

    @Markswift2003 Yes, was able to register and login to the site. Looks like a paid site to me. Could you please elaborate as to how this can be substituted to scrape posters, background fanart & thumbnails? Thanks.

    It's not a paid site, and the boxs already uses it for ClearLogo, Fanart and Posters. From what you've said it sounds like the Zidoo isn't talking to fanart.tv for some reason.

    You said above "I tried using the tiny Media Manager too but to of no avail" - does that mean that TMM is behaving the same?

    So if TMM behaves the same that means it's nothing to do with the Zidoo.

    Thanks for putting the work. it’s been a while since I’ve had to post in here :) but now this is frustrating me...
    I have downloaded the file on this thread and tried to update it but my Z1000 Pro does not find it I’m currently on version v6.4.68 not had a problem updating in the past am I missing something? What am I doing wrong? I have tried doing this on my network selected file and also a with the USB in both cases it just does not show the file on my Zidoo? Any help would be much appreciated as it’s getting a bit frustrated manually looking for my pictures every time I had a new movie or TV series to my collection.

    Well if the Zidoo can't get the art and TMM can't get the art, there's only one culprit - the internet. Possibly a DNS issue?

    Do I need to contact my internet provider or there's something you could suggest me to circumvent this nagging issue? Having said that, there was no sign of this problem a few days back, wonder what and where it went wrong? Thanks.

    I honestly don't know - my first port of call would probably be to try a VPN with TMM to see if that works - that'd be a pointer as to what's wrong.

  18. You have a Realtek 1619DR model? Which one?

    Are you accidentally trying to install it as if it's firmware? If so, it's not a firmware update, it's an update for the Home Theater app. You can either put the .apk file on a flash drive, find it in Zidoo's file manager and install it that way, or use the web install method from a computer on the same network - I don't recall for sure, but you may have to enable that feature on the Zidoo first. Access it from a computer or other device on your same network at your local IP address for the Zidoo with port number 18888, so you have to have port forwarding on in your router as well, and have that port forwarded to your Zidoo's local IP address. For example: 192.168.1.15:18888. Load that up in a web browser, then you can click the button in the middle of the screen, navigate to where on that computer or other device you have the new .apk file, and select it.

    I've updated the app previously either way.

    One error I found is that with series, the episode lengths are always the same. If I refresh them manually for each episode, it works fine. But from the moment I watch an episode, the durations all erroneously return to the same length. Usually, they're the same as the episode I've watched.

    @Markswift2003 Taking a clue from your analogy, all I did was restarted my router (it's the one with a static ID) and everything is back to normal now. Zidoo Z9x & TMM both are working like a charm. One more thing, I couldn't find poster scraping for TV episodes in TMM as it being a free version the only option in the drop down window is TMDB. By any chance is there any similar app for scraping TV episodes? Thank you for your valuable input and prompt replies. Take care and keep up the good work.
