Home Theatre 5 Update / TMDB Fix v4.3.52 (Realtek 1619BPD models)

Hi, I download the Home Theatre 5 Update / TMDB Fix v4.3.52, on my Z20 Pro. Does this update disable TVDB searching? Searching anything through TVDB yields no results.

 

I just tried to install the update on my Zidoo Z9X.
Unfortunately, during the installation, I received a message saying that it couldn't be completed.
My current version is 4.3.05.
Does anyone know why the update isn't working?

 

This version is for the 1619BPD models not the 1619DR models.

 

Does anyone know when HT version 5.0. 58 Beta will be available for the Z9X Pro?

 

Just an update to this, in case someone else has this issue.
I'm able to match with TVDB now, I went to Settings > Other > Recovery and reset > Clear system application data
After clearing, all matching works fine.

 

I have this patch installed. Today, I added a movie. I can match the movie fine, but the poster does not show up. If I login to the web interface and go to modify poster, "current" just shows blank with a spinning circle. I see one other choice I can select, which looks like the correct poster I want. I select that poster, then click save. It says "Operation Success" but nothing changes. How can I fix this so the poster shows properly?

 

How can I tell if my Zidoo Z10 Pro is version 1619BPD or 1619DR?

 

The Z10 Pro uses the Realtek RTD1619DR:

zidoo,mediaplayer,z10 pro

 

Are there any updates on when this will be pushed through as a firmware update? The workaround was released in April, and I'm grateful for it—but users shouldn't really have to do all this. I'm afraid I've had to stop recommending the device these past months because it's looking rather like abandonware at this point.

 

Same here. This machine is sooo slow with updates. Some series (love death + robots for instance) cannot scrape season 4 and some of the end of season 3. I like the ease of this machine but it's like pulling teeth sometimes.

 

it has been abandonware for a while. the lack of support, compared to other devices (in the price range) is terrible.

pity because they are capable devices with such good video processing. utterly wasted. they could open it up a little and i'm sure the community would run with it too. zero awareness.

 

Everyone's ahead of me. I have z20Pro with firmware 1.0.86_g and cant scrape movie posters. I downloaded the file from the sticky which is poster RTD1619B v4.3.52 however I placed it on a USB and navigated on my Zidoo to its location but its not seeing the file. Tried loading it onto the storage on Zidoo but again not seeing the file. I am using the update option from the settings on worktop screen. Is this the correct file or am i frying to update it the wrong way?

Ok Found the update file using the media manage option and it confirmed install. How I cant open Home theatre as its being upgraded (has been for some time) does it rescan the whole database? Reluctant to reboot until I am sure its stuck!

When i try to DL the update, i get a 403 forbidden, it dosent matter if i do it on my Samsung tablet or my Samsung phone, i have used both my wifi connection and my phones internet connetion.
Can you please tell me what i am doing wrong.

 

That's why I don't want to buy Zidoo media players anymore. I bought a Dune HD Pro 8K Plus. Dune supports its media players with firmware for a long time, unlike Zidoo. It doesn't stop supporting previous models when new ones are released. It's also much easier to change the firmware on a Dune than on a Zidoo.

 

I'm going to do the same. Offline my Zidoo players and move to another company. The fact that his has been patched but not rolled out through the normal channels, it has to be side-loaded, is crazy. They seemed to have dropped support entirely. Great boxes, but there's still a lot that can be improved and it's obvious they won't be.
