Home Theatre 5 Update / TMDB Fix v4.3.52 (Realtek 1619BPD models)

Hi,

This APK file fixed my scraping issue, great. But I noticed that my HomeTheater 5 version is v4.3.40 and not v4.3.52 like this thread. The APK doesn't replace this software. Where is this HomeTheater update located, please?

Seriously? So, you didn't notice it on the very first post of this very thread that you just posted on? And do you actually have a 1619BPD device ? Because if you don't, then probably this version of the HT5 apk update will not work for you...

I do have firmware 1.0.95.

For the APK, I downloaded your patch file from page 1 and followed the installation procedure.

This solved my problem with Tmdb scraping my movies at startup.

However, the preinstalled Home Theater wasn't 4.3.52 but 4.3.40.

My device is new, though.

No idea. Haven't seen that and no-one else reported it other than when using the wrong apk for their box.

You say v4.3.40 was preinstalled - that can't be the case since that's an updated apk released just before v4.3.52 and not included in firmware.

From memory preinstalled version was v4.3.03 but I could be wrong.

Obviously the Apk doesn't have the HomeTheater update? Please confirm

But it still solved my TMDB problem.

Should I have uninstalled/erased HomeTheater before copying the Apk?

Is there a possibility to recover a file of this version 4.3.52 without risks?

Is HomeTheater 4.3.40 really the playback problem for my ISO movies or is it something else?

The apk is an installer for HT - it's like a setup.exe for Windows.

(ISO playback is related to the player process and not HT)

So if you install the apk, HT is updated and the version number is of course updated.

If your version number shows v4.3.40 then that is the version that is installed.

I'm not sure what's happened - it's a straightforward process.

Playback is handled by the player app and not HT, so HT has nothing to do with ISO playback.

Indeed it's strange that the Apk is not overwritten the version originally present.

Apart from this problem of ISO reading the rest seems to work normally.

I'm afraid of uninstalling TH and that the Apk in question won't reinstall HT in its v.4.3.52.

if you refresh media info (for each episode unfortunately) you will get the real time

 

Is there an update to the iOS app coming? I have v1.80 and since the scraping issue, posters don’t download for newly matched content

Content matches and shows fine on the box itself using the latest HT update, but if you browse the poster wall from the app, posters are blank for any new content added

 

Just added a new movie here and it appeared in the iOS app immediately (v1.0.80), poster and all.

Not sure - maybe a database issue or poster folder issue - if it was me I'd just reset HT but I use NFOs so it's an easy job to do that - depends how your setup is, er, set up.
