Gapless music playback with Apple Music

What has been the user experience with Apple Music through the T10? Does music play without gaps between songs? I am particularly interested in playback of live concerts where consecutive songs flow into the next despite having different track numbers. It has been my experience with other systems that a gap would be inserted disrupting the natural flow of the concert.

Hi, i tested both, the "LoFi" one which you can control via app and the "HiFi" one which you have to run from the device. The LoFi one has silence between the tracks, the HiFi one has gapeless playback. On the LoFi one i also haven't found a settings menu, so this may be a final statement.

Unfortunately no gapless playback with Apple Music on the T10. Same recording played on T10 using Qobuz was gapless. Disappointing, but can't blame Eversolo, it is an Apple thing. Same thing happens with the HiFi Rose RS130.

Also, the Apple Music app on the T10 is limited to CD quality.

The highres method of playing Apple music works just fine for both 24/96 content and gapless playback. Read up on the two options for APple music on the T10.

Thorium and Christopher: Thank you for the heads up about the Apple Music app, I thought I had it, I guess not. I downloaded the app and now I can stream hi-res from Apple Music.

Gapless, different story. Not sure if I have an improper setting, but definitely not gapless. Sometimes the gap between songs is short like a couple of seconds, sometimes several minutes. Totally unacceptable. Any gap is unacceptable to me.

Anyway if you want to test on your systems, play “side 2” of Abbey Road, beginning with “You Never Give Me Your Money.” The songs flow into each other and any gap will be noticeable.

the gapless playback may not depend solely on the Eversolo... it is a stream, so if the server makes a gap, you'll get it.
Moreover, there is always the same old story: Apple does not not discover their whole API, so you are struck to what it's made available... yeah, I know it sucks, but this what we have.

    ETA
TBH, I would - nowadays - ditch AppleMusic in favor of Spotify lossless layer for registered users.
That's just my thought, but their API and performance is far better than the AM s**t, if you allow me...

Oh it is definitely Apple. I had the same issues with my late Rose RS130.

However, streaming music from Apple Music through my Macbook or Apple TV to the same DAC/preamp is gapless. It is not the server it is just some incompatibility that Apple obviously will not address.

It is that native Apple-developed apps for AM know-it-all, while the API released to third party, like Eversolo is, may be (well... are) limited. It's the Apple way. Get used to it, if you already haven't.

To be fair, I primarily play 4TB of local FLAC files on mine; along with PRIME music in UHD. Playing Apple on mine "seemed" to be gapless, but may vary on connection, album, or voodoo economics. Dunno.
