Firmware Update for DMP|Play|T8: OTA v1.5.75

I can’t see the artwork when using Plexamp. It works fine with streaming apps

Why would I prefer either tunein radio or Internet radio? Are there substantive differences?

 

I observed a different glitch, this time via Qobuz-connect. It seems T8 cannot handle higher resolution album play-back.

First, I put on Tame Impala’s Currents (24/44.1), plays tracks without issue. And without pausing, I switched to Marty Friedman’s Drama (24/96). Didn’t play the first track and gave an error (pic 1), and proceeded to play the second track. Then I switched to Megadeth’s RIP (24/192), didn’t play the first track with same error (pic 2) but played the second track. Then, I switched to QOTSA’s Songs for the Deaf (16/44.1), played tracks without issues.

Also, Spotify Connect occasionally plays Lossless albums (Megadeth-RIP) in Very High quality.

You need to ensure ota.zidoo.tv is not blocked by firewall on your router. I had same problem and it was resoled by adding it to the whilelisted domains on my router.

 

That is an issue with Qobuz, not Eversolo. They have admitted that songs larger than 50mb have been causing playback issues. They have been updating their cloud infrastructure and this has occurred during this process. This has affected many 3rd parties. I use Lyrion it’s affected users using, same for Roon and had it in their own app as well.

Confirmed by main dev of Lyrion he received this from Qobuz. Roon have also been pressuring them to resolve the issue.

 

My other streamers (Wiim Pro Plus, Cocktail Audio X45) play everything without a hitch. If it’s Qobuz related, how come they can, but T8 can’t?

 

Because different player handle the files in different ways. I can play some files that Roon users can’t, I even can play files other LMS user can’t and vice versa. I would not be too quick to blame Eversolo when Qobuz has a lot of issues across the board with stability right now. I could not even log in the other day via their own app. Was down for half a day at least.

I’ve not had any issues with Qobuz connect on the A8 other than what i mentioned. Doesn’t drop out at all.

I sideloaded aptoide and with that app I can keep up-to-date the few sideloaded apps I have installed on my A6 (like Plexamp). I find that easier than uploading the updates one by one.

Hello,

My EverSolo DMP‑A8 is stuck on firmware V1.57.75 after the last OTA update. Since then:

• The Roon Ready option has disappeared
  
  
• The device says it is “up to date”, but no longer receives OTA updates
  
  
• Roon no longer detects the A8 as an endpoint
  

I contacted support through the EverSolo website, but the reply came from Zidoo, and it did not address the issue.

From what I understand, older 1.x firmware is no longer compatible with Roon’s new certification rules. I therefore need the full 2.x firmware package for a manual USB update.

If anyone can provide the correct link or guidance, it would be greatly appreciated.

Killed the volume on both my A8 and A10

Can anyone spare me the ordeal of searching out what they changed to mute my systems?

 

Bonjour, j'ai enfin trouvé le problème. J'utilisais une version non officielle de Roon, alors j'ai acheté la version payante avec un essai gratuit de 15 jours pour voir si cela changeait quelque chose ! Et effectivement, tout est rentré dans l'ordre, je suis ravi. La nouvelle mise à jour d'Eversolo rend Roon Ready incompatible avec toutes les versions de Roon antérieures à la version 2.0.
