I’ve produced that glitch with Depeche Mode’s Memento Mori album (24/96). It played the first track, then played it again instead of the second track, also the third time. Update: In the first instance I played the album via Eversolo app. If I use Qobuz connect, it seems it can play the 2nd song.
You're right. After song 1, it skips to song 3. I tried it with Qobuz Connect and the Qobuz app on the T8. If I use Qobuz on my Android tablet only, after song 1 it skips to song 2 normally. Have you submitted this to @Zidoo Support-Kim ?
Support for USB-DAB-Stick would be nice . I did a little test with DAB-Dream . App is starting and recognizing the DAB-Stick , but did not really search for stations . Finally I've got it working with "DAB+ Radio USB.apk"
In my case it played the first track 3 times. But this occurred when I played it within the Eversolo app. I haven’t reported it yet.
My T8 on Qobuz app could not play track 1 from Plaid-Reachy Prints (24/44.1) for ex. I tried it many times, even after turning off /stand by the unit. If I select track 2 or others, it works! Another one that fails to play from track 1: Jon Gordon-Altesques (24/48) , an excellent jazz album.
Today I found another abnormality, in the middle of a track, the player skipped suddenly to the next one, the album is Boards of Canada-Peel Session (24/44.1), on track 2 Happy Cycling. Unhappy experience, though
On the Audirvana forums people are also experiencing problems with Qobus, but a solution is being worked on
If the Eversolo Control app could mirror live radio station’s now playing&info screen on T8, it would be great. Currently it only displays radio station’s logo, e.g. BBC Sounds.
Hi Eversolo Team, I am a happy user of the DMP-T8. I have a suggestion regarding the Volume Control UI to improve visibility from a distance. 1. Current Issue: When adjusting the volume, the numbers (dB) displayed in the pop-up window are a bit too small to read clearly from a listening position (e.g., on a sofa). 2. Request: Please consider increasing the font size of the volume digits in the center of the screen. 3. Alternative: It would be even better if there were an option in the settings to choose between "Standard" and "Large" font sizes for the volume display. Attached is a screenshot showing the current UI for reference. Larger fonts would make the user experience much more intuitive and "hi-fi" friendly. Thank you for your continuous updates!
Same issue with Qobuz and or Qobuz direct only when played on T8. Skips in the middle of some ( no logic ) tracks to the next one . Looks like an issue in the Eversolo treatment of the Qobuz data flow.
Reading all these skip-track-in-the-middle posts, to me it looks like the tracks are hi-res, but the engine calculating their ending point is counting the bytes in the frames, BUT still thinking that the total amount must add up to the count for 44.1kHz... hence for higher samplerates => less playback time, since the amount of bytes adds up quicker... speculating, yes, but somehow my developer mind twists towards this conclusion... @Zidoo Support-Kim, would you comment this thought of mine with the dev team? It would be interesting to hear from them about the topic. Cheers, Al.
@Zidoo Support-Kim It seems the problem can be solved when clearing ALL Qobuz caches in the Qobuz application used on all various used devices (iPhone iPad aso…) even if you don’t use Qobuz connect on T8 the Eversolo application behaves like taking into account account the cache sizes on the other devices … For what it worth …
Good idea! I will do that and see how it goes. Despite I have Qobuz year subscription, I even considered to take a Tidal subscription as well for the time being because this skipping is driving me nuts .
