I do not see the need to argue. I just said that DSD multiple of 48 kHz is not a thing. DSD is constructed based on multiples of 44.1 kHz.
This is its standard, not things I make up from thin air.

Of course HQPlayer could do everything it wants (or everything you tell it...) but since no device expects to handle frequencies other multiples of 44.1 when dealing with DSD streams, you can leave the "DSD?? x 48 nor working" thing out of the discussion. Don't waste time in creating DSD out of PCM: it is pure nonsense. DSD needs to be created natively to make a difference, everything else is a dithering of information that "is not there".

And of course, a 8$ USB cable is more than enough, unless you live close to a nuclear power plant... USB is DATA. Data doesn't need fancy pricey cables to work (unless they are really broken and prone to EM interference, that could corrupt the data, and require retransmission - yes, data works this way)

Then, one might think what (s)he wants, of course.

Is there any design of you have seen is good? Could you share it with us? Or you can describe how it should be pinned in your opinion. Thanks : )

Thanks, I’ve been using NAIM streamers for many years, and their app allows for a Qobuz or other streaming platform playlist to be “pinned” to the home screen for easy access. On the T8, I assume it might be implemented as a Shortcut.

NAIM also has a slightly different indexing system for shared folders (SMB) that updates automatically and doesn’t require manual rescans when information (added albums, metadata, etc) is changed within in a Library folder. I was curious if the option you’re providing in the T8 to constantly monitor folder changes is operational and not using too many processing resources? One other idea would be to give users the ability to schedule regular update scans of their SMB folders so it doesn’t have to be done manually.

The T8 is truly incredible in functionality and sound quality! Thank you so much for interacting with your users.

    @Nutul
...that's the problem with you: you give supposed answers to questions that nobody has asked. And then you haven't even begun to understand how HQPlayer works—but you're always quick to judge... I'm out of here!

It's not that nobody asked. You mentioned that everything worked, except for "DSD x 48", and I simply explained why.

There is no need to understand how HQPlayer works; as far as it works correctly and consistently. DSDs are generated on a multiple of 44.1 kHz sampling frequency. That is it.
Every other base frequency is conceptually wrong in terms of DSD specifications; this, at least, you might understand, right? So I cannot figure out what is your complaint to my answer. I didn't say anything else.

Maybe it's you who thinks my answers are always in the same line, without even bothering to read...

Some people here around understand my tech speech, but apparently you are not one of those.

    Kind regards, Al.

Is there any chance to run a SMB server on the T8? It would make uploading the files so much easier, and integrate so nicely with Roon, which could use it as a share. While I have a NAS, it doesn't have NVMe...

Also, when it comes to the remote, it would be amazing to use it to control a Luxsin X8's volume (hate having multiple remotes), and since it's in your ecosystem, it would be great if there could be a single remote. Thanks!

it HAS an Smb server, you just need to enable it, and you'll see its storage as a share...

Thanks. Let me know what you find out. If R&D comes up with an alternate approach and defines how the artist art is to be configured, I can at least try to update my library to match their scheme..

    Kim,
I am having alot of difficulties with the NAA function on the T8.
I tried the NAA with both HQ Player Desktop and HQ Player Embedded. HQ Player Desktop does not see the NAA. HQ Player Embedded sees it sporadically – most of the time it doesn’t. My other NAA's (ultrarendu, holo red) are all recognized.

Any other thoughts about what I can do to get HQ Player to recognize this NAA?

Hello to all members and team,

I recently bought my T8 after Auralic Aries died suddenly after 8 years of work! :)
I use T8 with Qobuz build-in App and the sound is fantastic, very pleased with it! It leaves the sound neutral, the image is very stable and wide, very well layered.
I also have some suggestions regarding the Eversolo app, as following (based on my experience with Auralic LDS app, which was very stable in the last years):
-around 10-15% of the various albums on Qobuz app refuse to start from the beginning (track 1), you have to jump to track 2 or 3 or to leave the entire album and skip to other, then the playback jump back and tries to play first track, destroying the listening

-there is a slight time delay when you manually skip within a track, this process should be much more smoother

-on Qobuz app, the tracks are not numbered, which is difficult to view and track

-difficult to see Artist/Album when you play an album, you have to click the 3 dots and then other menu pop out

-no information regarding year of release of an album

-gapless playback should be ON by default, who need an annoying gap between tracks?

-cover albums art are too narrow and with round corners, doesn’t look like music but rather like a social media filter photo!

-bit rate information should stay in front of the frequency info, like FLAC 24 bit 192kHz 2 ch xxxMbps, looks lot more professional

-when you Search on the entire Qobuz app, there is no memory of artists searched before, like is/was on Auralic app (where a list of around 20 artists were memorized in order of time searched, a nice feature).

-unable to read the booklets in Qobuz app, wherever are available, and they are many esp. on classical music! This is a huge issue IMO!

-the lack of a STOP button, there’s only Play, Pause, Forward and Backward.

-Previous button reset playback should also be ON by default, it’s more logic like that IMO.

Thank you and happy listenings to all!

Ok, but take into consideration that Orange matches well with Black, esp. Glossy Black as the front fascia is. I like it Orange! Yeah, that’s right! (Boards of Canada fans will get it :))

Please, please, PLEASE don’t introduce Upsampling to the T8! In Auralic this feature degrades the sound a lot! Let the original sampling and focus on sound quality! Thank you!

What’s wrong with adding a function if it can be switched on or off? Don’t like it? Don’t turn it on. Leave it as an option for people who do want it (and this coming from a person who wouldn’t use it anyway).

The T8 is already full of options that many will never use anyway! The playback should be as clean and pure as it gets, but this is just my opinion!
    Thank you

Hi. Could you tell me the album's name if you encounter this again?

Hi, I learned about the playlists shortcut on NAIM.
The playlists from different source can be synchronized. Though it's not on our current plan, thanks for your suggestion.
Instead, you can add playlists from various source to the Device Playlist (though cannot be synchronized), on Eversolo Control app (click the upper-right 3 dots)

    Hello,
Today I identified three albums who refuse to play from the first track on Qobuz built-in App:
-Willy Rodriguez-In the unknown (I will find you), 2026
-JD Allen-Love letters (The ballad sessions)
    -Stéphane Belmondo-Ever After

I am having the same problems with the Eversolo app as Adrian . I have identified the issues on another reply. I have the issue of not playing the first track and going to the second track after which it goes back to the first track and does not play but just is silent searching. I have this problem with saved playlists as well as new albums on Discover .
Holst- THE PLANETS and a few others. I have only recently had this problem on the T8, been reliable since purchased in January replacing my A6 which I have had for two years. I have the latest firmware update.

Feature / Bug Fix: when power to the T8 is turned off, albums and album art from SMB folders that are in the library are shown but not found until the SMB folders are accessed through Files. The library should stay available during a power off/on without having to access the SMB folders manually again.
