Anyone else have problems with Radio Paradise constantly dropping out for 10-15 seconds? Meaning I'll be listening and it will go silent for 10-15 seconds. I look on the app and even on there, there is no album art for 10-15 seconds. Then it starts playing again. I thought it might be a WIFI issue so I connected it using ethernet and it's happening more often. I listen to Radio Paradise in my car also and it never drops out so I doubt it's an issue on their side.
I get my iphone displaying the eversolo T8 screen, then 'mirror' my iphone to an apple TV 4K. Audio plays the eversolo T8 via dac, video is via apple TV 4K. I use an Anthem AVM90 as a DAC and as my processor, which combines the audio and video sources. Benje
Why not just use the Eversolo Control app for the Apple TV? Works well, I use it on Apple TVs, an Nvidia Shield and a Google Tv.
The Apple TV App is pretty good if you want simple album art and basic info on the song playing. Mirroring your iphone on the apple TV (displaying via Eversolo app the screen disply) gives more info which may be of interest to some, and distracting for others. Pick your solution according to your needs.
Hopefully Eversolo releases an update soon to fix the Radio Paradise issues. Otherwise, I'm moving on to Lumin or Volumio.
Volumio is a nice thing. Although, if really interested into it, I would suggest you take moOde Audio into consideration (as it is free as in "free lunch" and "free speech"), and it runs on the same platform: a RPi (although Volumio might hide it from view, as they sell their own hardware...). Apart from that, RP sometimes has issues, and they resolve usually in a matter of days (they are listener-supported, so... you know, servers and bandwidth have a cost)... Just to add: I listen to RP (lossless FLAC streams, BTW) on a daily basis, from my RPi (moOde, yes, you guessed right...) and from time to time (once a mont...? less...?) I do experience some glitches, but the day after they are gone.
The Eversolo AppleTV app also has another feature. It is often not finding one or two devices (after it forgot them all). In this case it is required to type the IP address. The problem here is, that it is not offering dots, only commas. So typig IP addresses is not only annoying but it also just not possible.
does it not work with host names at all? Sometimes (with relatively newer routers) adding a ".local" suffix to the host-name helps (the router will seek locally mDNS, and not in global - Internet - DNS pool) Just my 2c.
Only numbers and the comma are allowed in this field. I have a bind server here with forward/reverse zones. The app is quite primitive. You get cover on the screen, you have rudimentary playback controls, thats all. You can't browse through your library, so its only a limited alternative to the RC, its not replacing the ipad.
Well well well... is Eversolo kidding?!? How in hell would you not replace the "," for a ".". Or... let me think... they use a NUMERIC KEYBOARD LAYOUT, which by construction uses only NUMBERS and the system constant "decimal separator"...? Try to change your LOCALE to one that uses the DOT as decimal separator, and see if that "numeric keyboard layout" changes accordingly; at least we can have a confirmation to forward to the dev team. BTW, nowadays, an IP keyboard should offer 0-9 + the dot for IPv4, and 0-9, A-F, plus the ":" for IPv6. Just sayin'...
Hi, i'm sure this is a wrong interpretation of the configured regional settings by the Eversolo app. I'm not using the anglo-american broken ones with comma dot mixed up, 12h clock and month before day in the date . The table at the bottom is interesting "Countries using decimal comma / Countries using decimal point " https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Decimal_separator More countries using "." as decimal seperator, not just UK/US.
Hi. Submitted. It's supposed to be the cause. The workaround is using iPhone to type on Apple TV. Thx for your feedback!
worked with iphone just now. I remember i tried it few weeks back and it wasn't typign anythign into the field, but this may have been some other issue, who knows, it worked now .
