I imagine Keith's up to his old tricks again. I don't know, I use the "ignore" option and it's much more pleasant; everyone should do it, he'll just write into thin air and it'll be nice for everyone.

    Remember:
It is easier to fool a man, than it is to tell him, and make him understand, he's been fooled.

Practice what you preach. You could use a couple lessons yourself, but you’re too ignorant and stubborn to see it any other way, but your own what a shame

I joined this forum (whose content I value) so I could use the 'ígnore' function. And very occasionally to add something worthwhile.
My ignore list is based on those who rarely add to real discussion.
Of course, I miss those (rare) posts that are worthwhile, but I also miss all the petty positioning (and the inevitable response from another poster). I despise looking at a thread for 3 minutes of reading only to discover that it contains absolutely nothing worthwhile. Doesn't happen now, thanks to 'ignore'.

I did a little research. Here, a couple of statements of your guru, over at ASR.

Original Quote: "They had a very small room but boy, was the sound so sublime".

Tell me, Keith, wbat is "sublime sound"? What is the difference to "silky sound"?
Is this a term based on measurements, or is it a totally legit description how he perceived the sound. Why don't you go over there and tell him he is a fool? Why not, because you don't have the balls, you rather do it here.

    Here another example:
Original Quote: "The fidelity was to die for on these".

What kind of a scientific term is this? Did he attach an Audio Precision Analyzer to the equipment, to check for Distortion, Signal to Noise Ratio, Jitter and Linearity before making this statement. Ofcourse not, because he is not an idiot, he just enjoyed the sound and the music.

So, in the future, for once and for all, please spare us from your arrogant, pedantic and schoolmasterly harassment!

Amir does add a short subjective to loudspeaker reviews.
Loudspeakers are the one component that do sound different even between really fine measuring designs , and these differences are completely characterised by their measurements.
I don’t ever recollect Amir passing subjective comment on any audibly transparent , dac, amp, streamer.

I'm afraid that's not true. The article was on Mark Levinson Equipment Preamps, Monoblocks and Streamer combined with Revel Speakers.

Couple of more statements for you: "super delicate performance", "very open and clean", "superb imaging", "superb vocals and clean bass".

Come on man, be honest, that is exactly what you criticize here. If you cannot even admit this, you lose the last little bit of the respect i have for you.

Yes, I can confirm that the Cyan offers fantastic value for money in terms of sound quality. It's a great entry point into the world of high-end R2R and Holo. It offers the essence of Holo sound and very good technical performance for an R2R. It's half the price of my Holo Spring, which mainly offers a deeper soundstage and better separation of instruments and bass with better control and a little more authority in that register.

Hey Keith, rubbing their hands with glee , this is one of the only times I absolutely, agree with your particular statement, It certainly seems or appears that you have had quite a lot of experience, on this particular subject. Your only problem being, you SCARE off the average customer , as soon as you open up your mouth … however have a nice day.

You realise that the better an R2R measures the more it will sound like Sigma/Delta.
Is a ‘high-end’ R2R one that is really broken and you may hear a difference or one that is well engineered and you wont hear any difference?

How very dare Amir post a subjective comment, I have written a stiff note.

Personally I have always said this throughout life and I mean it seriously in saying,

if you’re happy, I’m happy for you. That’s all that counts.
:) But however, stop jamming it down my throat !
