Gapless playback of multi-channel music. (Dsd 5.1 is working ok ) Some formats are downmixed to stereo .
Thanks for your reply! Can you tell, which formats are downmixed? Since Eversolo seems to never bring out a player, which can stream Atmos Music (Amazon or Tidal), I´m considering to buy a Zidoo. Which 8K Zidoo is actually the cheapest one to output DSD/DSF natively without converting to PCM? It´s actually pretty strange that I´m, considering a Zidoo as music player, because I don´t need it for video at all. I`m also wondering, how the DMP-A6 can display its UI to a TV. I know, there´s an app, but don´t know, how that works. Couldn´t find any info about it.
Maybe the old series with 'audio only' hdmi perform better then the z3000 or the UHD8000. But zidoo refuses to output dsd native trough the main output. The app for controlling the dmp-a6 is working ok. Some inconsistencies but OK. Edit: 4.0 is the most common standard layout that the zidoo Z3000 downsamples to stereo. So al original surround tracks from the 70ies and 80 are downmixed to stereo. To fix it you need to add a center track to the file.
@Zidoo Support-Kim Hi Kim, could you please confirm the official dimensions and weight for the upcoming T10? I assume dimensions will be identical to Z10, but I have already seen 300mm and 310mm for depth and 6.8kg and 7.2kg for weight. Would be good to have the official specs
Since I use USB from T8 to Z10, there will most likely be no appreciable difference in upgrading to the T10 since I’m using asynchronous USB and the DAC clock is in control. I tried the AES/EBU connection and didn’t hear a difference between XLR and USB. It’s probably due to my age since I’m 3.5 years shy of 70. My biggest improvement was swapping to flagship Mark Levinson stereo amp and analog preamp. Couldn’t pass up a 50% off price tag. Eversolo T8/Z10 sound awesome with my new amp and preamp. Z10 much more transparent than the internal DAC on my old Mark Levinson Precision Link II DAC.
Hi Kim I would like to know what Android version is in the T10 before I buy it worry about the rapid update Android software versions and the future of the T10 before I invest my money hopefully I will get a answer from you Respectfully Yours
Just to clarify, this is not a final manual, some specifications are wrong. The official version will be published soon, it's on the final proofreading stage.
Can I request some clarification about the x16 upsampling feature of the new T10 streamer. I assume that like the original DMP-A6, it is confined to local files only not streaming services ? But now can upsample beyond the 192 kHz limit of the earlier device, up to x16 on the USB and I2S outputs @Zidoo Support-Kim ?
Just to be clear concerning the upsamling... I'd rather ask once again just to double check..: Is T10 able to actively upsample the input stream? This is what I received as a reply from Eversolo service, when I asked about possibility of upsampling in case of T8 and Play units: "Regarding the sample rate output features you mentioned, the fixed sample rate output function is only available on the A6 series. Other models, such as the A8, A10, Play, and T8, do not support this feature. As for upsampling, this is also a feature that is not currently available across our product lines." So do I understand it correct, that upsampling (to a fixed sample rate output) will be available either with A6 units or (now) with the new T10? Kindly clarify. Thanks.
I see nowhere stated that upsampling is supported for the A10. The A6 is the only device that supports fixed SR output. Nevertheless, I would like to ask you why do you need such a feature... all modern DACs do internal upsampling, to many times the original sample rate... why bother? If you use a DSP, OTOH, it may require a fixed sample rate as input, hence you would need a system that consistently produces the same SR at its input, letting the DAC do its due as always. Now, Android devices (also the Eversolos) resample everything to 48kHz, UNLESS the EOS (Eversolo Original Samplerate...?!? cannot remember, but sounds like this) option is turned ON. Does this clarify something, or rise more questions...? Here to help, as far as I can. Cheers, Al.
