Hello, I already have an Eversolo Play (best product ever) paired with Klipsch RP-6000F II floorstanding speakers, but I find the sound lacks power. I changed several settings to gain power but it is still limited ... Any advice to boost the power of the Eversolo Play ? May be with pluging an Eversolo AMP-F2 or other solution ? If not possible, which Eversolo can you advice me (with same features as Eversolo Play but more powerful) ? thank you a lot
What amp are you using ATM? or are you driving the speakers directly from the PLAY? They are ordinary-sensitivity speakers, producing 96dB @2.83V @1m... rated at average 120+W Let me check the output voltage of the PLAY... Oh... max power out of the play is roughly 75W (at 0dB volume, that is, at max) so you cannot drive your speakers full power with it (it is simply not capable of doing that); you're stuck at roughly 3/4 of it, or (again, roughly) 90W.
Yes, many have found the amp inside the Eversolo Play to be a little lacking if you're looking for a truly robust sound. Your best bet—as many of us here have done—is to output the digital signal (ideally via USB) into an external DAC like the venerable SMSL SU-1, and then run the analog signal to a separate power amp of your choice. There is absolutely no need to stay trapped in the Eversolo ecosystem or drop $800 on their AMP-F2. Honestly, for around $300 total, you can get that DAC and an inexpensive Chi-Fi power amp which will give you plenty of power with overhead to spare. It’s far more budget-friendly and flexible than throwing the baby out with the bathwater by buying an entirely different, all-in-one, high-powered streamer.
