Hello. After updating DMP A8 to firmware v1.5.90, the "Listen at Will" mode stopped working correctly. Previously, network folders, if they were offline, were skipped and tracks were selected only from folders located on the internal ssd. Right now, the player keeps trying to play tracks from disconnected network folders and freezes on it, meaning it won't stop playback. If you still try to turn on the radio, then after a short time the screen goes out in the A8 and after that it can reboot or remain with the screen turned off without reacting to anything. I'm sorry for my English, it's an automatic translation.

 

Those who didn’t update to .90, could directly update to .92 via OTA?

Hi has anybody tested this new release with Spotify lossless and the problem of it cutting out on flipping between 16bit and 24bit recordings ?

 

Same question as @Jerome Visser . I have firmware 1.1.60 on my T10. Since that update I've noticed significant instability with the DSP. Room correction seems to drop in and out in the midst of and in-between songs. Please advise.

 

The version on T10 is diffenrent, the v1.1.60 is the latest, no worries.

 

Do you mean the EQ? As there's no dsp on T10.
If possible, a video of the issue will be helpful.

 

If you don't encounter the I2S issue on .90, there's no need to have .92

No worries, English is not my mother language either, and any info you provided is appreciated.

 

For me, it is more an issue with communication. Even on the official webpage for this information (which is where most people would look) the versions are out of date - and the T10 doesn't even exist!
But, I suppose for most devices and probably most users, the fact it is OTA and dealt with by the device automatically then it is probably a non-issue.

 

@Zidoo Support-Kim — thanks for clarifying that v1.5.92 targets the I2S issue.
I have a separate v1.5.90 regression on DMP-A6 1st gen that I don't think has
been reported: seekTo on a freshly loaded track kills the audio output. The
device keeps reporting state=3 and the position keeps advancing, but at ~2.5%
of real time — so it looks like it's playing, and it's silent.
Measured over 21 handoffs: 12 of 14 landings with a seek died, 0 of 7 without
a seek. It dies exactly at the seek target. Full report with reproduction

Is this known, and does .92 touch the streaming/seek path at all?

I noticed a bug in latest firmware related to LMS - Squeeze Connect integration (that was supposed to be fixed in this release).
I have

• Eversolo DMP-A6 Master gen2 with v. 1.5.90 firmware
• Android control app v. 1.15.65
• Lyrion Music Server Version: 9.0.3

Steps to reproduce the problem

• Start playing music from LMS through Squeeze Connect - everything works fine
• Pause/stop Squeeze Connect playback
• 01:05 - start playback from Tidal
  • This starts Tidal playback but also unpauses Squeeze Connect playback
  • Currently playing screen quickly shows Tidal on top left corner and then switches back to showing Squeeze Connect
  • So now Eversolo is streaming both Tidal and Squeeze Connect in parallel resulting to couple of seconds music coming from Squeeze Connect and then couple of seconds from Tidal and so on
  • Currently playing screen is all the time showing what is playing from Squeeze Connect
• 01:45 - Pause music
  • As currently playing screen suggest Eversolo thinks that it is playing Squeeze Connect so it pauses Squeeze Connect but Tidal continues playing
  • Currently playing screen still shows what was playing in Squeeze Connect even though now Tidal is playing continuously
  • Since Play/Pause is single button it now thinks that next press mean unpause/play
• 02:10 - Unpause/play
  • Unpauses Squeeze Connect playback and Tidal still continues playing as before
  • So now playback switches between Squeeze Connect and Tidal in couple of second intervals

• So there are no way to stop Tidal playback
• I tested soft reboot from Android app but problem continued
• Only hard reboot from physical power switch on the back of Eversolo stops Tidal playback

The dark screen and reboot after that happen randomly, it does not depend on turning on the radio. I recorded a video with a dark screen and a reboot.
After an arbitrary reboot, the embedded SSD was not recognized, and the disabled network folders were recognized by the workers. After experimenting, I came to the conclusion that the device does not correctly detect whether network folders are connected or not. Now he almost always identifies them online, and problems arise because of this.
