Takže, ak niekto nevie, chcem sa opýtať, či vám táto funkcia funguje automaticky bez akýchkoľvek nastavení?

Question for the group. I own both, GEN 1 and GEN 2. I have not opened the GEN 2 yet. I purchased the GEN 2 for HDMI ARC. I use the eversolo for streaming only and volume is set to FIXED.

Do I need to change volume control from FIXED to VARIABLE when using HDMI ARC?

Setup for GEN 2 will be TV => eversolo HDMI ARC => DAC => Rogue RP-7 HT bypass. Want the volume to be controlled via TV and keep eversolo volume set to fixed.

Hoping I do not have to change volume from fixed to variable to watch TV. My guess is yes I will have too. If so, I'll be selling the GEN 2. Should have asked this question before buying the GEN 2.

    Thank you in advance.....

If you want to control the volume WITH your TV, then the logical, and obvious, way of doing it properly would exactly be having the Eversolo output at fixed, max volume. That is: volume bypass, or 0dB.
As a rule of thumb, you do not wat more than ONE volume attenuation in your audio chain; no matter HOW it is carried out (digital / R2R / etc.)

I have a question (best for Eversolo support). I own an Eversolo dmp-a6 master edition gen 2. I want to ask if it is a bug if the volume returns to zero (-100dB) when the streamer is turned off and on again with HDMI input.
Sometimes the volume remains set after startup and sometimes not. I have tried other cables but it does it with every one, and It does not do it with other inputs.

Annoyingly as of today, still not fixed and definitely an A6 problem.
I got the chance to try a DMP-A8 in my system. Everything else the same Cambridge Audio universal player -> HDMI audio extractor set to DoP -> coax spdif -> Eversolo -> amps/speakers.

Using the A6 - still get pops and crackles - loud ones that make the system unusable.
Using the A8 - no issue - sounds perfect. DSD64 shows on the screen.

The issue isn't the disc player. The issue isn't the audio extractor. The issue is in the Eversolo DMP-A6.
There is definitely a flaw in the implementation of DSD64 over DoP via spdif in the A6 that is not present in the A8. Per specs, both should work just fine with this input.
It would be nice if they'd fix it.

Agree, but I'm not sure it's an Eversolo problem as much as an ESS chip issue. To Eversolo's credit, they did add a PLL settings adjustment option to address it. Moving the PLL settings for DSD to 15 was supposed to address the DoP issue but alas it has not.

As noted above, I did read that other companies may have fixed the issue with software updates, but I cannot attest to that myself.

I get where you're coming from, but it is an Eversolo product. Eversolo chose the chipset to use. Eversolo advertises this as being able to play DSD64 over DoP via spdif. Others have solved this problem with this chipset. Eversolo is clearly able to make that type of input work it their other products.

When this has been discussed before people have blamed the HDMI extractor. It working fine with the A8 is clear indication that the extractor works properly and the issue is the A6. Until Eversolo fixes the issue, people should know that using the extractor with a SACD player IS a viable solution, just not with the A6.

Word. I actually caved in some months ago and bought an A8. A big part of that reasoning was my ongoing frustration with the DoP issue on the A6.
