I stumbled across the release of DMP A6 and A6 ME Gen 2s. I'm curious to see what improvements are made compared to the current version as well as the A8.

I got an email from SummitHifi who's a US distributer for Eversolo / Zidoo. There is no other information in the email
I really hope there's bass management (2.1 + High pass filter on mains when sub is connected) and room correction on this. Otherwise there is no point in getting it.

I guess that proves that Eversolo agrees that the power supply on the existing DMP-A6 is subpar. It would be nice for them to offer a power supply exchange.
Not familiar with any issues with the power supply of the DMP-A6 Gen 1. But my DMP-A6 sounds and works just fine with the current power supply. So I'm not concerned about it.
I'm not sure that is a logical conclusion. Does the existence of the A6 ME prove that Eversolo believe the A6 is sub-par, or the A10 that the A8 is? I suspect that like any product, it is a mix of the performance and feature set that they think that people will want at a price they will be prepared to pay. I'm certainly interested to see what it has to offer, but as I need none of the current additional features and there are no issues with the PSU in the Gen 1 I think I'll be fine.
LPS is a natural upgrade from SMPS. Will the difference be noticeable? Not sure. So the main upgrade feature is the eArc it seems.

It would be nice to see actual pictures of the DMP-A6 Gen 2. If it's due out in January hopefully there will be an official announcement soon from Eversolo.
The WOL and DC triggers would be interesting for me. We still haven't seen the back side of the Gen 2, I wonder if they replaced the HDMI multi-ch out with the HDMI ARC. If they offer 2x HDMIs instead of swapping one for one, I might be in for an upgrade.
I hope the HDMI Audio output hasn’t been removed for the HDMI ARC input. That would be a huge omission IMO. It would also remove the Gen 2 from future consideration for an upgrade to my Gen 1.
Still no Atmos support?? Why isn´t there any audio streamer from Eversolo, which supports Atmos? I don´t want to buy a Zidoo audio/video streamer just because I want to listen to Atmos music. Is it really so hard to support Atmos? There´s more and more Atmos music every month and I really have to use a cheap Fire TV device? Very, very disappointing!!!
The actual specifications for the DMP-A6 Gen 2 have not been officially announced by Eversolo. So whether the Gen 2 does or doesn't do Atmos has not been determined. It'd be great if it did as it would be a huge selling point.
On their facebook account (Facebook) there´s no word about Atmos. I guess they would have mentioned that great feature.
