    Hello,

    I have a question.

Android is supposed to limit audio playback to a maximum of 48 kHz (SRC) – this also applies to the Eversolo DMP A6.

Is this downsampling bypassed with a direct connection to Qobuz or Tidal?

I have an external DAC connected to the DMP-A6. It displays higher data rates than 48 kHz.

Does this mean that no downsampling is taking place?

Thank you for your answers and help.

Eversolo streamers have a system resample bypass. This is part of the reason you spend so much money for these things--to get around the weaknesses of standard Android devices like Android tablets.

    Is Anroid even limited?
I have no issues outputting to whatever device in 192khz from a tablet or phone.

Avr, mojo, shanling, dmpa6, z3000 they all accept my 192khz stream.
I know the Mojo and the Shanling do it even over usb.

If you use the right software, there are some ways to get around it. For example, if you use UAPP (USB Audio Player Pro) on an Android device, it will circumvent Android system resampling by utilizing direct access drivers to the USB port for external DACs.

The issue with Android phones and tablets specifically has to do with the USB port, which gets resampled by the OS if no specific bypass is utilized, it does not affect Bluetooth, UPnP, etc. So with a normal Android phone or tablet, if you play music from Qobuz native app or Apple Music native app, for example, via USB to an external DAC, it all gets down-/re-sampled by the OS unless you have a special device with SRC bypass such as a DAP, an Eversolo, etc.
