Hi guys, I am having serious issues with the Eversolo control app. I reinstalled it several times, the app remains really slowly. Tidal is from day to day not working at all. I cannot enter my Tidal area, the app takes minutes to update certain categories, e.g. Albums. Scrolling in Playlists is a catastrophy. It only works page for page so to say. Then out of a sudden a few days later it is working smoothly again. The A8 is connected via ethernet and my wlan at home is working perfectly. Only the Eversolo app the A8 are having issues. Any idea or experience? Thanks Kurt
If it is working good one day, and suddenly not, and then is back ok... well, my spider-senses tell me it might be an internet issue with the servers. (not YOUR network, but the Tidal servers)
Basically I totally agree. The strange thing is, that at the same time Tidal is not working in the Eversolo app, Tidal Connect works perfectly...
IIRC Eversolo mirrors some (all?) of the streaming services' servers, so this could impact the app, but not the -connect service... Take this with a pinch of salt, but the more I think about it, the more I seem to be remembering well. Cheers, Al.
Could be the case, Eversolo told me that the playback queue is not loading correctly (issue that some songs get skipped - different thread). I guess that has the same reason.
Having same issue with Tidal and Eversolo app. Have no issues on WiiM app or Tidal on PC. Why would Eversolo mirror streaming services? Does this mean that when I use the Eversolo app to connect to Tidal it is really connecting to an Eversolo server? This would explain why when I use Roon Tidal is performing perfectly on the Eversolo devices.
Tidal is completely broken on Eversolo units. It’s home page is not what I see on original tidal app on any of my gadgets, phone, iPad etc. Eversolo’s Tidal streaming is missing a lot of data, recommendations, new recommended tracks and albums, other user’s playlists and more. Why is that, does anyone have any clue ? Tidal connect is working fine.
Some applications are proprietary, some others are vendor supplied. Have you tried side-loading the official Android Tidal app?
Since a few days I am facing regularly playback interruptions. Less when using Tidal Connect, every few minutes using the Eversolo integration. That is soooo annoying.
IMHO we are not yet there when it comes to flawlessly listen to online streaming... This is the main reason I still keep my 3K CDs (ripped to FLACs, so that I can listen to them more easily...) safe. There are many factors: 1. internet connection 2. server's downtime 3. traffic peak-demand (not only on your side, but on server's side as well) 4. wifi channels congestion (on your side) 5. requiring hi-res, which is, of course, bandwidth-hungry... 6. multiple devices on your wifi accessing the internet (again, on your side) Pick at least one from the above, and your listening experience will drop significantly...
I'm using Tidal connect all the time. The Eversolo's Tidal app sucks. Even with the Tidal connect my A8 sometimes stops playing the Tidal's playlist. I don't know on which side is the problem. Well, I didn't notice any delays so far.
I have a direct Ethernet connection between my router and the Eversolo unit, so half of the issues mentioned above don’t apply. My internet connection is 1 Gbps, so streaming high-resolution tracks has never been a problem. I’ve also never experienced any issues with the Tidal app itself. It’s strange that Eversolo still hasn’t fixed Tidal streaming. When I first bought my A8, Tidal worked perfectly and mirrored the standalone app. Then something changed, and now the functionality is very limited.
