Just started playing CD’s. That part works great. Unfortunately, it no longer seems to provide a way to burn the CD to the internal SD drive I have installed. Am I missing something, or has that functionality been dropped?

Oh wait. I see how to rip CD now. You no longer get a dialogue or icon when you insert a CD. Instead you need to go into apps and then choose the rip app. OK. I can live with that.

I just played a bit with the roomcorrection.
It's actually nicely integrated in the system, and the A6ME gen2 recognizes my Umik-1 and I can upload it's calibration file. And I can do all that on the device and in the app on my phone and tablet.

On thing to keep in mind though, is that when you already have an eq or parametric eq enabled, it seems to roomcorrect over that. So make sure to turn your eq off.

And it would be really nice if we could get a file that can be read by REW so we can see what filters are applied.

The Export button doesn't export such a file ? What does it export ?

It exports *.wav files. One for the left channel and one for the right channel. They can be read in REW.

Rew only sees them as a sound wave, unless I'm missing something.
I can not open them as eq file.

Import them in REW with "impulse response" then you get this:

Yes, I got that far. But that doesn't tell you what filters were applied.
And I hope there's going to be an option to set the range, like up to 500Hz for example, instead of full bandwith.

You do not need that, as if everything is fine ABOVE 500Hz the filter will add nothing; but if there IS something to be corrected, you always have better leave it active in its whole spectrum...
I mean, it is a correction; you do not want to apply SOME correction, but DISCARD some other, do you...?

  10. So…most room issues occur in the lower frequencies. In the higher frequencies it might be trying to fix potential issues with your speakers and this can lead to distortion is some situations.

thankfully, you can absolutely limit the upper end of the room correction and let your speakers be as they are. I have two correction eqs available, one full range and the other is below 500hz only. I actually prefer the second.

  11. I disagree, I only correct room modes, to correct above the Schroeder frequency something else is needed.

So, I am not wasting my time, as you seem to already know how things work.

Room modes are mostly below 500Hz anyway.
Changing anything above that can really affects the speaker's voicing and ruin the whole sound.

And I seem to have missed it the first time that the upper and lower limit of the RC can be changed by pressing the little slider icon at the top of the screen where you can save the adjustment

I did however made the mistake again to not check whether the EQ/RC was disabled before running the RC measurement again.
It can be handy if you want to check the actual post RC measurement by taking another sweep, but it would be handy to get a notification about it.

    @KevinJ you are basically right.
But also being in the sate of mind required to perform a room correction does help a lot. So, before doing one, be sure all the elementary requirements are met: no EQ, and no room correction curves are active when doing so.
The software COULD, of course, automatically disable all this WHEN a new calibration is requested, but that will only make us dumber and dumber, you may well agree.,
No pun intended; just taking things out of my chest.

I’ve had bad luck with room correction so far but good info here to check out.

what has been odd so farm is I get good correction, post measure are good, then it all goes to hell. The sound gets off and measurements show it’s not good. I’m not sure what is going on here. I am using a calibrated usb mic attached to my iPhone for testing. Outside measurements have been done with REW and HouseCurve.

Can you post a printscreen of the Eversolo measurement and filters and expected results?
And this is what I like about the ability to measure again while there's RC enabled, you can see the actual result.

But that's basically one of the reasons I only correct up to 500Hz. Changing much above that can really mess things up quickly.
Also, I don't really like boosting frequencies to get a better looking expected result.

And that's also a problem with house curves. It may look good on paper, but that doesn't mean it'll sound good. With enough filters, you can basically make all speakers sound the same, but if you're like me, then you bought your speakers because you like their sound.
You could try taking REW measurements about 30cm away from the speaker with the mic between the tweeter and mid. That'll give you a good impression of how the speaker sounds without too much interference of reflections and room modes.
If you then apply a smoothing of 1/12 or 1/6, you'll be able to come up with your own house curve based on the natural sound of your speakers.
Then you measure from the listening position and see how much different it sounds and use the house curve you just created.

Maybe we need a sticky about room correction in Eversolo.

PS, I did notice if I take two measurement after one another, the app somewhat crashes when it wants to show the results of the 2nd measurement.

    Guys, please tell me:

Is there any work being done with the Internet radio section now?

The directory is empty both on the device and in Eversolo Control. By the way, it may be related to the fact that I installed 1.4.80 on a clean system.

    UPD:
I did a hard reset and everything became ok, the radio stations were added to the catalog.
