Dynamic background feature in upcoming HT5

Do you know what site they get their dynamic backgrounds from? So we can see a list of which ones are available.

 

Zidoo launched their own internal API (fanartweb.zidoo.tv) for this.

 

And is it correct, that once this version of HT gets updated for the 1619DR and BPD series devices, that in order for this Dynamic Background feature to work, we will need to turn OFF the auto trailer playback?

I've never understood the idea of having a background image that uses the same visual (or a very similar appearance) as the poster.

Personally (but this is just my personal opinion) I find it both ugly and useless, whether it's dynamic/animated or not.
For me, the background image should bring something, in its visual and atmosphere, different from the poster's design,
and in contrast with it.

It's good that the system allows to both disable the dynamic background, and choose the photos you want.

 

Attached GIF's that show animated backgrounds. I only see these for about 10% of movies.

Do you need a new HT version for this, or can it be tested by placing the relevant content in the folder? If the latter, how should the file be named?

 

You do not need to disable the trailers for this; they will not replace the trailers. To "enjoy" these images, you can delay the start of trailers via Settings.

 

Zidoo's HT is constantly evolving, and I think Zidoo wants to show that Zappiti or R_volution no longer have any advantages with their dynamic images.
There are certainly people who like that, someone buys these overpriced brands. Now they can also buy a Zidoo.

 

IMO the dynamic backgrounds are just...ugly. Especially when 3/4 of the screen is a black void.

I hope Zidoo doesn't take away the option to use a normal background again like when they first introduced this.

 

I'd describe them as cheesy and distracting. It's not for me!

 

I like them! But agree need to keep option for original poster wall.

 

I tried fanartweb.zidoo.tv, but the site requires a username and password.
Is it possible to create our own?

Hello, i have no dynamic backgrounds for any new Movie. Maybe i must make a new scan. I have newest Fimware. Can someone help ?

 

No dynamic backgrounds at all on mine to they have stopped working.

2. A screenshot
3. All movies or all new movies cannot show?
