Yes, exactly. Virtual rotatable knobs for adjusting gain of EQ curves would be nice. In addition, a vintage tilt tone control (increasing bass while decreasing heights) with a pivot point at 800 Hz would be nice.

 

Now that NAA support has been implemented in the A8 and T8, can you implement Direct DSD Bypass mode in the AKM chips used in the A8 and Z10. The point of being an NAA endpoint is to have HQPlayer doing the processing and bypassing the extra multi-bit processing of the DAC itself.

 

What kind of processing can HQPlayer do on the DSDs that does not involve converting them to PCM? I am very curious.

 

The reason is simple: all streaming apps and network shares can be pinned to the Home Screen, but the internal SSD cannot. If your entire music library is stored on the A8’s internal drive, you always need extra clicks to reach it.
Example:

Home → Music Player → Artist → Album

vs.

Home → Internal SSD folder (one tap)
It’s not about difficulty; it’s about consistency and fewer steps. If Amazon Music and Qobuz can sit on the Home Screen as shortcuts, then the internal SSD should be allowed there too — it makes navigation faster and keeps everything in one place.
For users who browse by folder (like A8-MusicSSD), having a Home Screen shortcut saves time and avoids drilling down through menus every single time.

 

Sorry but... isn't it the same:
Home -> Music Player -> Artist -> Album

and

Home -> Internal SSD -> Artist Folder -> Album Folder?

Or is there something I miss...

 

I have two humble requests related to Tidal integration:

1) Would it be possible to configure the order in which my options are presented in the top navigation once I click into Tidal? Currently it is home, Explore, Releases, Tidal Rising, etc etc with "My Collection" at the far side that requires a big scroll to get to. Since this is by far my most used category it seems counterintuitive to have it so buried in the nav. Any way to prioritize that in the order so I can access without scrolling? and beyond that, is there any way to configure the default view once I click into "My albums" so it consistently shows recently added as the default ordering?

 

Oh, and one more ask re: the Soundcloud integration. It has been consistently broken for me after several updates and attempts to clear the app cache (and of course re-authenticating my Soundcloud login). I am completely unable to access my liked tracks. I see a thumbnail for one of my liked tracks on the Soundcloud home screen once I enter the Soundcloud app, but the list is completely empty when I attempt to click in and view it. Selecting "Play all" or "Shuffle play" does nothing, and I am presented with a timeout error when trying to do the same from the A8's touch screen. Can this be fixed please???

 

Any update on the radio or has this been ignored/neglected/forgotten about?

 

Same here. Soundcloud is basically unusable. Got an A6 Master Ed. Basically have to stream Soundcloud using BT from my phone.

 

I am seeing the same issue; I have several artists that I follow and they are "ARTIST PRO" tagged and when I try to see their music, I get a "Connect timeout" message and all other artists I follow are fine.

 

Anyone else experiencing the app no longer working since several app updates back? Tried the older version and it still seems to be working so nothing wrong with the equipment itself.. Or have I missed something about the updates?

Regarding the app I am respectfully raising the issue of black screen while tryng to access NAS in home network without internet access. Would that be anything that something could be done about?
