Hi all at the X9 forum, a bloody newbie here ,

I’m evaluating the X9 for a 2.2 setup and need specific clarification on one crucial point:

Can the Luxsin X9 apply HPF to the XLR main outputs and LPF to the dual RCA sub outputs simultaneously, with full DSP crossover control (frequency, slope up to 48 dB/oct, phase, delay)?

    The manual confirms:

    • Subwoofer output via RCA with LPF (40–300 Hz, adjustable slope)

    • XLR/RCA pre-outs with DSP processing

    • Option to select "XLR only" or "RCA only" for main outputs
But, as far As i could get hands on information, it’s not explicitly stated whether XLR mains + RCA subs work together in a coordinated 2.2 mode. especially not in the manual. And reviews aren't precise about that.

    Could someone please confirm:

    1. Is this configuration supported?

    2. Is the crossover fully active and synchronized between XLR (HPF) and RCA sub (LPF) outputs?
This is critical for my setup, as I require the 4.2V XLR output for my power amp while using stereo subwoofers.

    Thank you for clarifying.

Best regards and keep on with your execllent work (the Luxsin team !) ,

Yes, it works, however, left and right sides use the same configuration and cannot be set differently, even in dual mono mode. I used an X9 in 2.2 configuration with stereo subs, high-passing the speakers. The subs were also low-passed using X9 because it has more slope options than in my subs.

Thank you, Ed, for your reply.
I have seen you have changed your system recently (th WIIM forums). Did you have the latest firmware on the X9 before it was retired?
I was of the impression that one of the FW updates after 2.0.1. may have fixed the problem of identical config only for the subs?
Did you get any information from Luxsin in regard of this problem, or if they were planning to fix it somhow ?
    Tom

I gave my X9 to my dad. He's a state away and I only visit his house once every other month or so. He's not very savvy with it, so wouldn't be able to check for us, but I am seeing him towards the end of April and can check then if you can't figure it out before then.
