After updating the firmware of my A-10 to firmware 1.5.30 and the app on my Android 16 Samsung Galaxy Tab S9 to version 1.15.32, new errors have appeared that were not there before: - When updating the music library, the covers in the album overview are not updated (only when you specifically click on the album). - When scrolling up or down or select a letter at the right side in the album view, the app freezes sporadically (the spinning wheel spins permanently and scrolling is not possible). I cleared the app-cache on the tablet, I reinstalled the app, but nothing changed --> see attachment - Likewise, not all albums are imported (this worked fine before the update) --> nothing changed on my NAS and the NFS-share (same amount of FLAC-files) The following points are annoying for me and exists from the beginning: - When rebuilding the NFS share, all favourites and device playlists are deleted - Importing saved device-playlists is still not possible. - It is still not possible to sort the albums by the ‘Artistsort’ tag (ID3 tag standard). - There are still missing some sampling rates in the filter section of the "Song" tab in the music player --> 88.2 kHz, 176,4 kHz I hope, that these errors will be fixed in the near future, as I am otherwise very satisfied with the A-10 Regards, KrischanHH
Hi, Samsung Galaxy Tab S9 has imcompatibility with the control app. Thank you for your feedback again.
yes, unfortunately I had to experience the same behaviour when I was rebuilding my music folders - all favourites were gone
Hi Kim, are there plans to fix these bugs in the control app? Theses bugs also appears on my Samsung Galaxy S25+ smartphone.
Hi Kim, I think that’s a real shame, especially as Samsung isn’t a small manufacturer and is very widely used. I don’t have any problems with other apps on my tablet and smartphone. What’s special about the Control app? Has this something to do with the OneUI from Samsung?
It could be related to different android versions supported. To keep pace with Android OS development and versions you (the devs) need to constantly update their setup / SDK etc. and sometimes a new version of Android (generically speaking, it is not only Android... Windows comes to mid, for one...) breaks completely your working codeline; so you have to make some choices... Not only... making things compliant with newer versions can sometimes (even worst) break things with older versions... so, again, compromises have to be made.
Hi Nutul, thanks for the comment, but this challenge has any SW-developer and company when they develop software, independent of the OS and as I mentioned above Samsung is widely used.
The real problem is that the Android version on the Evesolo devices is a tailored and stripped one, not a stock one...
I know this, but my problem is the Eversolo control app with my tablet/smartphone with Android 16. I sent Kim a video about this behaviour.
Uh, understood. So they might need to check if there are any substantial differences between their current SDK and the version 16 one, in the APIs they use. (best practice should be to have at least a device for every different Android versions, despite the fact that Android Studio generally offers itself a wide range of releases...
Hi. I ask our team again, after reviewing the issue, it seems like more complex. Could you please record the process? I will send it to our team for a test. Confirmed that these are not available in our system yet, the requirement has been submitted.
I am using the 1.5.62 firmware, which came via OTA, and I completly disconnected and reconnected my libraries. After that, all albums and covers were displayed right. Only one title was displayed with "01 - Rimsky-Korsakov Dance Of The Tumblers" as the title, which is the filename and not title name. So I did a complete disconnect and reconnect again with this library and after that the title was displayed right. I think the consistency leaves something to be desired
I'll give it a try, but I think that this video will be a 'little bit bigger' and I don't know, if I can upload this video here in the forum.
If it's big, upload it to GoogleDrive (or any other filesharing service of your choice), and post just the link here.
Hi Kim, regarding these points I uploaded four videos on Google drive --> https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1se3Po1rqQzK7NXpza0LIQmUWnwg4iXBw?usp=sharing In this videos I collected some suggestions and annoying bugs. I hope, that these bugs will be fixed in the next releases Regards, KrischanHH
Hi Kim, in addition of my comments regarding the annoying bug in the control app (the rotating blue circle - see video part 3.mp4) I want to inform you, that this bug does not only occur on the Samsung Galaxy Tab S9 and S25+, but also on the Samsung Tab A9+. I think that Samsung is not really a nice player in the Android market and I think that this bug should be fixed from your dev-team. Another point in the control app is the filter option in the track tab. I mentioned some time ago, that two sampling frequencies are missing - 88.4 kHz and 176.8 kHz. Regards, KrischanHH
Note, it's not on the current plan. Replicated. Before the fix, the only workaround is kill the proccess. The other points in your video have been forwarded as suggestions. About the part4 importing device playlist: The music albums in the folder to import, need to contain m3u or m3u8 files. If you want to add a folder to a device playlist, you can go to library and view the folder Navigate to the folder, click to play, then there's an option in the play queue Then you can add all of them to a device playlist. The play queue in the inter streaming service is also available to be imported into device playlist.
