Dear Team, I use LG C3 65 , with my soundbar which only supports all Dolby formats including atmos , but doesn't decode DTS it usually plays in 2 channel I guess . I usually watch my offline content for movies , music etc .. If I get this Zidoo UHD 3000 pro , can it help ? My soundbar doesn't have hdmi in port only eARC , optical , aux , sub out. So I guess if I get this setup then I have to connect the Zidoo to TV's hdmi in then tv eARC to soundbar eARC . Kindly guide if this setup will support or help with my no DTS support of my soundbar . I'm suffering quite sometime with this. Any help would be much appreciated. With Gratitude
The only media player I know doing DTS decode to MCH PCM is the tiny Google/Dune Homatics box. It needs DTS licences to do this, It is cheap enough to get it as a second player. It is my travelling mate.
Very different players. I would get both but above all an UHD8000 not an UHD5000 Pro or even older UHD3000.
So UHD 8000 8K is what will serve purpose of DTS full decode ? Even if my soundbar has partial support for DTS ? Also , kindly help clarify pls ... My soundbar has only one hdmi eARC no other additional hdmi input . So if I connect both the hdmi outs from uhd 8000 (one hdmi is for video & one for audio only) to my LG C3 TV hdmi 2.1 in ports & then tv eARC to soundbar eARC. Will it work ?
Again, no - if the soundbar doesn't support DTS then the Zidoo won't help. It will only decode DTS to 2 channel PCM.
Ohh okay , it play's dts , but volume is low , increasing the volume serves purpose . So I presume it's partial support not full unlike all dolbys.
Yes I guess when it plays , it feels like sound coming from front only not from rears , so most probably it plays as channel pcm from DTS ...
