    There appears to be a bug. When I play a DSD file the display of my Luxsin X9 appears to properly display the file type
    1. a DSD64 file the display of my Luxsin X9 indicaties I play a PCM 352.8 Khz file
    2. a DSD256 -> PCM 705.6 Khz file
    3. a DSD 512 (also) PCM file 705.6 Khz
    Is this a bug or is this something in the settings I should adjust?

    I have corrected the Audirvana settings with the help of their support.
    However, the software indicates that LuxSin X9 would not be able play DSD512 files. See screenshot 1.
    The debug report indicates that the LuxSin X9 should be able to handle these files. See screenshot 2.
    When playing a DSD512 file the display of the LuxSin X9 indicates that is is playing a PCM file 705.6 Khz.
    Therefore it is suggested that the DSD implementation would not make full use of the AKM chipset. See quote.

    Could you kindly help me in playing DSD512 files with my LuxSin X9 to their full capability?

    The problem is, that you're using a Mac, which can't output native DSD.
    DoP needs for DSD512 (x48) PCM 1536 kHz.
    Because the X9 is limited to 768 kHz, for Mac you're limited to DSD256.

    There is nothing, that the developers can do for you here.
    An option can be in using a network streamer (e.g. a RPi) between your Mac and the X9 and using the USB out from the streamer.

    Thank you very much, Burki for your explanation! I think I can live with 'just' DSD256 ;)
