Boundless Display - Control EP on Any Web Browser on your PC or Tablet!

This is ESPECIALLY for those of you who regularly access your PC while enjoying your Eversolo Play....

I was playing around with screen mirroring to see my full EP screen on a large TV screen (am was happy enough with my iPhone's screen/mirroring). HOWEVER, in researching that I found there is a relatively new feature Eversolo calls "Boundless Display" that I didn't know this even existed.

Boundless Display allows one to view AND CONTROL your EP (or another Eversolo device) on any web browser on your PC or tablet. Perfect for me since I have my computer screen just above my EP. You merely put in your IP address (grab it by going to Settings/About on your EP) and add ":9599" and voilà, it WORKS! Jaysus, you could even put your EP in a drawer and forget about it if you want to control things on your web browser. Kooool!

  2. Correctly you should have written: ... and add :9599
However thanx for that. I already forgot it.

It looks fantastic, just as on the display of the Eversolo Play. :)

AlterSchwede62: Thank you. I edited my post to reflect the adding of the colon for future readers. Also if you click on that little square box on the top right, you'll get the full screen, so-called "Borderless" effect (also, a single click on a spectrum analyzer display loses the PCM and source info). Much better!!

Both Responders: Glad you guys liked this. I just happened to stumble onto it yesterday myself.

Hi, I also think it’s a great feature, but unfortunately, it doesn't work very well with my Samsung Frame TV. Instead of the beautiful Eversolo screen, I just see an empty black rectangle. Does anyone know how to improve the browser on this TV so it displays the Eversolo screen correctly?

  8. Yes, same here. My "The Frame" does only show a black rectangle. Even after doing an update on The Frame... :(

While I coincidentally also have a "The Frame" TV, you should remember that Borderless Display is NOT supported on this (or any) TV. As mentioned in my original post, full display and Eversolo Play control only works on the screen of a "PC or tablet."

Of course, you should still be able to use the traditional Windows screen-cast (or presumably AirPlay/iOS) to output a view-only full-screen mirror to your TV (at least I can to my living room TCL Roku TV), but you cannot control the EP from it like you can with Borderless Display (on your PC or tablet).

PS: Bronstein -- I see you're also a fan of the original Peter Green-led Fleetwood Mac in their original blues configuration!

This is a browser-based fearure. If the TV browser is compliant, it will render and work fine.
The feature, however, is not meant to be used on a TV, because the whole meaning is "controlling the device", and that is better and easier done on a PC or tablet...
This does not prevent you to use your TV's browser, just do not expect the full-fledged functionality, as browsers on TVs are sometimes limited in functionality.
