Beta version v1.5.95 for DMP-A6 Series

Thank you for your continued support. We also appreciate your feedback, patience, and understanding regarding the previous v1.5.90.

After the release of v1.5.90, we received feedback from users about several issues. Our engineering team has investigated, fixed, and optimized these issues, and we have prepared a new DMP-A6 series public beta version as quickly as possible for you to try.

• Currently, this public beta version is available for DMP-A6 first. Versions for other models will be released later.
• This release is provided as a full offline update package, and all current DMP-A6 versions can be upgraded.
• If it is inconvenient for you to download the package and update locally via USB flash drive, you can submit your device MAC address to us, and we will arrange an online push based on the MAC address.

Local USB Flash Drive Update Method

After downloading the update file, do not unzip it. Copy the update file to a USB flash drive, then connect the USB flash drive to the DMP-A6.

Device update path:
Home Screen - Apps - Update - USB update
Then select the update file on the USB flash drive to start the update.

so it looks like 1.5.75 can be upgraded. remember THIS is a BETA version….

 

Any way for those who are on v1.5.90 or v1.5.95 able to downgrade to v1.5.75?

 

At least restore the library's autoscanning to its previous state. Newly uploaded folders and files have to be manually rescanned to appear in the library. This is inconvenient.

Hi, I downloaded and installed the new beta version without any issues.

Things I’ve noted so far (regarding those problems I reported before)

- the messy genres disappeared . All is back to how it was before. I built the library from the scratch, the rescanning folders wasn’t working well.

- the SMB connection is much faster than it was before!

- There’s an option of editing the Genre label. Nice one!

- I cannot have the auto update or refresh working. I added a folder to the main library folder and try the refresh and nothing happened. Manual update did the trick, so not a big deal for me.

Hi, I downloaded and installed the new beta version without any issues.

Things I’ve noted so far:

- Cashed Streaming Playback does not work on Sideloding Apps and Internet radio. The Playback buffer progress indication is not in the Now Playing screen.

- Web Control (browser-based, enter: IP address + port 9599)
works great

- I have cover artwork in every map on mine NAS, but not all are showing using te file (smb) brouwser.

Well I had an issue with Apple Music glitching 3-4 times an hour roughly with gigabit internet , wired connection and this new update seems to have corrected the issue.

 

Scanning of the music library on a USB connected SSD ist slower than in previous version.

 

Improvements / changes have been made in the library scanning / management; so most probably the added operations require more time to complete.

 

The difference is significant, factor 2 or so and also the behaviour differs. The percent count runs steady over the process, but the track-count starts slow to count up and gets faster to the end. Library sitze 14.500, DMP-A6 Gen. 1.

 

Hi there. "Update" or "Rebuild"?


Does it also happen when you have rebuilt then update something?

 

In my opinion "Update" is right if you add some albums to the library. It is useless if you changed existing items like change the genre from Rock to Folk-Rock. In such cases you schould rebuild the database.
