Hi Can anyone else get BBC Sounds to work with their A8? I've tried logging in with different accounts but it keeps saying 'Not Found'. And I know those accounts are good. Thanks Adam
Hi Adam , somewhat strange, very sorry to hear that, it can be somewhat frustrating at times . I have been using the A8 for approximately 2 1/2 years also, I must admit I do not activate or employee the BBC Stations very often however I will alternate from time to time as this unit stays running anywhere from 10 to perhaps 14 hours a day every day anyway excuse me getting back to your question just to satisfy my own curiosity less than five minutes ago before leaving this post, I selected the BBC icon and I believe I counted 47 different stations all that 1 proceeded activate and sound, and play quite nicely. also currently through no choice of my own. I am using the OTA selection until I am able to incorporate what I call here a hard line going to the rear of the unit naturally. again I am surprised everything appears to receive in operation. and sound quite nicely. All With the exception of 1 BBC Station that did appear but not play or Sonically activate. Im most certain you have proceeded to do so have you checked all your connections and settings thoroughly perhaps just wondering. I have taken a small screenshot to show you my basic mode of operation when I do select BBC application naturally, along with others. I am absolutely no expert in this field, but something seems or appears to be blocking or not recognizing this particular application for some strange reason I am located in United States mid Atlantic area,, I’m certain most likely your problem is a simple correction, sorry is your current operating system up-to-date in activation just a thought sometimes this is certainly overlooked, and there are a few individuals currently that do not or will not accept New upgrades or updates as shown throughout this forum along with many other informative areas of interest throughout the Web currently speaking, however very best of luck to you please have an enjoyable week …… ** PS/ Adam, also some information from a buddy here, I have found a lot of this information to be somewhat extremely helpful within a few past occurrences , I hope this may help Some ?
Thank you for your detailed answer and images. My problem is particularly with the BBC Sounds app. I can see the BBC Radio app as you describe and it plays some BBC Radio channels, but it is not the same as BBC Sounds, which should be a more comprehensive service, with access to all stations and podcasts. I really like Radio 3 Unwind and I like to catch up with some radio programmes. Kind regards Adam
