This will seem like small beer (English saying meaning 'not much at all') but I'm new to this and getting to limos my A6 Gen 1 but I just got the A6 to format a spare 5TB LaCie USB C Mobile Drive. I then connected to the iMac and downloaded a AAIF file from Bandcamp (I ought to able to set the LaCie as the target at some point) Then moved the file to the LaCie and plugged it in to the USB port on the LaCie. I was amazed that it was seen as a source and not only played the track but had all the info including artwork on the A6 screen. Bear in mind I'm coming to this from the Audiolab 6000N Play and the awful (IMHO) PlayFi App as the UI. I simply can't believe how easy Eversolo have made use (if not set-up) for the average idiot user (me) Thanks also to the generous help on this forum!
I agree! Have just gone from a Wiim Ultra to the A6 Gen 2, mostly because I wanted to integrate my growing collection of hi res files. Everything about this machine is beautiful, and as much as I think the Ultra is a wonderful device, I'm very happy I made the move up And yes, as an old guy who has been doing various music related things for over 50 years, I'm still growing from a tech point of view. This couldn't have been easier to set up and use almost right out of the box. Just had to get it paired with my existing set up. Super happy. Oh, and by the way this is my first post in this forum. Glad to have found you all.
Hi Steven, Nice to hear you are enjoying your A6. No one is born a master, but you are not average and definitely not an idiot. It just needs a little effort from your side, to learn the basics, the terminology and the will to understand the technal interrelationships is a prerequisite. There are valuable resources allover the web. Feel free to ask if you can't make any sense of the various topics while working your way through the UI. Richard
