I have 2 of these amps, for me they works really well. I use them to drive 4 atmos speakers. I did a lot of listening before I bought them, this was I setup as monos in bridge mode, I really liked the sound, clean and nice details, nice imagin and soundstage, for the price I think they are really good. I would recommend them without blinking. Best regards Kim
View attachment 17519 I had XTZ A2 400 and NC252 Audiophonics for trial , XTZ sounds simply better to me, soundstage is better and amp better drives my Magnepans (with 2X420W@4 ohm and dedicated 1000W power supply). It is dead silent, no humming, no mechanical buzzing etc... Also gain control is excellent feature + auto-sense, it got clipping indicator, case is elegant and properly sized industrial design, match nice with my DMP A6. THD is low enough, <0,01 %. I'd like to remind all ASR evangelists that THD below 0.1% is officially inaudible for humans. Now XTZ A2 400 price is 635,00 Eur with 5 years warranty, so I'l keep it.
Hi all, I’m new here so please be patient with my simple question…. Im thinking about getting a pair of F2 amps for a mono setup (bi-amp) with my Cambridge Audio EVO150. Now, my EVO150 has the option to run as a pre amp an I’m lookin for better sound through two mono amps which could deliver more power than the claimed 150 watts my EVO should be capable to deliver. My question is - would a pair of F2 amps be an upgrade, something similar to what I already have or a downgrade of the quality my EVO150 already is delivering (sound wise)? Thanks for your feedback
There will be certainly no sound degradation. In mono mode with two F2 amplifiers, 45 w is obtained on one channel - 2x 190 w at 8 Ohm. I think the sound will be better. It would be best to test this configuration with your EVO150 before purchasing. If there is any option for that.
