Now considering purchase of the DMPA10 + AMPF10 combo. A lot of Amp F10 owners are complaining about the excessive level of VU meter lights . As i often listen at night , this could also bother me. Just want to know if this issue has been taken into consideration at factory level and if a solution ( f.i. a dimmer) has been found ?
The backlighting also bothered me, so I solved it with tinted window film and it was great. I called the auto glass company and they gave me the rest of the film for free.
what's wrong with you mate? Your eyes do make a difference, especially in the soundstage perception. Eyes closed give you a better focus on the auditory apparatus. You can always try it, nothing to lose.
That is an interesting perspective; I had never thought about it that way. I have two of them, and they have never bothered me, but everyone is different. Knowing that my brain definitely works differently from the average person — for example, I cannot watch vertical videos especially with stupidly flashing close captions, and enterprise training videos with hand-drawing animations are particularly triggering for me — I completely understand the concerns here . The idea of using tinted window film is actually a very good way to reduce the brightness.
I had the same concern. I listen to music in a dim room with my eyes open so I needed something to dim the light. I found on Amazon a static cling film that I cut to fit in the F10 window and voilà a nice dim glow. It needs to be rubbed to restore the cling in dry weather but other than that, it works wonderfully. They are also cheap. The product is called Dim-It.
I bought this and it works, nice darkening https://www.aliexpress.com/item/100....order_list.order_list_main.11.67dd1802P7XokN
My God. That looks terrible. You might as well have just stuck black electrical tape or masking tape over it.
That may look terrible as close as the picture is taken, IMHO it looks great, for what its purpose is... nevertheless, I do agree that only your eyes can actually be the judge.
Yupp, maybe you want make a photo in realistic light environment and from proper distance? On the photo it looks like self-tined side windows on an Opel Kadett E. I'm sure in reality this is much better.
