** Updated 22/05/25** Ok, I keep getting PMs about bugs in HT which have appeared since the TMDB fix. It's getting a bit stupid now, so I though I'd create a list - if anyone can add, please post below. Don't need an essay, just a one liner please. OUTSTANDING ISSUES 1. Less space for cast names in details page due to cast photos, leading to more truncation than before. 2. Some Codec Badges are not displayed - eg. AV1 video and OPUS audio FIXED ISSUES 1. MediaInfo JSON strings in VIDEO_INFO table are deleted and not copied to new MEDIAINFO table. This has not been fixed, it's just reverted to how it was previously - ie MediaIno data has been returned to the VIDEO_INFO table. If a MEDIAINFO table has been created by the last version of HT, it is not deleted even though it is not used. A full rest of HT is needed to remove this old table. Messy. 2. MediaInfo is not always called when a new movie is added so Codec Badges and Media Info is not populated in the Details Page or Details Metadata Page. Fixed v4.3.52 3. Paths not displaying correctly on bottom of Details Page, especially from multi-part movies Fixed v4.3.52 4. Truncated descriptions on Details Page not auto scrolling any more Fixed v4.3.52 5. Refresh Metadata in "More" screen from Details Page does not work Fixed v4.3.52 6. Some Codec Badges are displayed incorrectly - eg HDR10 or HDR10+ when the file is SDR and, as per #6 above, this cannot be corrected with the "More" > "Refresh" button. Fixed v4.3.52 7. NEW - HT crashes when exiting from a Collections Page Fixed with a factory reset 8. Descriptions are truncated more than necessary if "Show subtitle and audio settings" is switched off Fixed with autoscroll 9. The word "Director" is partially overlaid on watching timestamp in Details Page if it shows hh:mm:ss Fixed in v4.3.58 with FW v1.2.20 10. If NFO Parse is set to "Alternative", NFO parsing does not work if unable to find details online Fixed in v4.3.58 with FW v1.2.20
All well received and collected to the tech team, they are analyzing it now. Thanks so much Mark and other friends
I have UHD5000. I’m experiencing two issues with the new update: 1. I have full disc copies of 4K movies and series. When I play them directly (without mounting them to a virtual drive), the playback starts fine, but then the video freezes and the system crashes. After restarting, if I play the same file again, it gets past the previous crash point but eventually crashes again at a different spot. 2. I'm having trouble getting information for my TV series after the update. Could the issue be related to how the folders are named? Here’s how I’ve named the folders and the subfolders: TVseriesname => Season 01 => TVseriesname DISC 1 S01E01-S01E04 TVseriesname => Season 01 => TVseriesname DISC 2 S01E05-S01E08 TVseriesname => Season 01 => TVseriesname DISC 3 S01E09-S01E12 Another issue with this one. It has a "volume" in the name: TVseriesname => Season 01 Volume 01 => TVseriesname DISC 1 S01V01E01-S01V01E04 TVseriesname => Season 01 Volume 01 => TVseriesname DISC 2 S01V01E05-S01V01E08 TVseriesname => Season 01 Volume 01 => TVseriesname DISC 3 S01V01E09-S01V01E12 Could you please let me know the correct way to name the folders if that is the issue?
Not sure it is HT related, but on the Web interface (ip:9528), the Search function doesn't support accentuated characters. A Search on movie "Léon" brings no result, despite the movie being part of my movies list. Searching for "Leon" with no accent doesn't bring any result either. This is similar for all movies with accentuated characters (I am based in France).
The web interface is its own whole set of problems - I'm not even going there... Accents, numbers, special characters all cause problems...
For me, the most frustrating issue with HT—also in previous versions—is the slow loading speed. It noticeably impacts the user experience every time I try to use it. I’ve attached a short clip to demonstrate the problem. My device is z3000 , Poster folder is - Priority save to custom folder what is m2.5 ssd https://drive.google.com/file/d/1DmXLDqP16R80IsLosKTKOTT9kydHAk4E/view?usp=share_link
It's not pretty, but I would not call that slow. It could be improved by caching the images for the next and previous pages. However, that's an optimisation rather than a bug and this thread is about BUGS.
I’m seeing some incorrect badges as well. I have a 1080p mkv file from a blu ray rip. After I watched it, the “HDR10+” badge of all things shows up. It is not an HDR file, and refreshing the metadata under “more” has no effect
I also noticed incorrect badges. For example, the short film 'Battle at Big Rock' is 4K but it is neither DV nor HDR yet the badge 'HDR10' appears next to the '4k'.
Hello, Thanks for the initiative of collecting users feedback ! I can't guarantee this issue does come from this version or was already present, it could also be due to my files naming scheme: For TV shows with episodes split in two parts but listed under the same number in TMDB I noticed that the two parts are flipped: part 2 will be matched to part 1 and vice-versa. Here is an example with Friends: In that case in the UI part 2 of episode 23 will be matched as part 1 and will be played before the actual part 1, whether I click on part 1 in the UI or play a sequence of episodes. There is another example in Season 6 where the two-parts episode is not the season finale (see episode 15 of season 6)
Not really relevant to this thread - I suggest opening a new post about TV Series naming conventions - there is a PDF I wrote in the Recommended Settings sticky regarding naming conventions, and I'm sure others who use TV Series (I don't) will be able to share their solutions.
Ok thanks for the swift reply. I remember reading a detailed guide about naming conventions which taught me useful naming schemes to include labels for instance. I'll try to find it again, if you have a link to the PDF you are refering to it would be helpful ! Thanks !
