Dynamic backgrounds not working anymore

I need little figuring out what happened I am running the latest firmware and have HT5 installed. Dynamic backgrounds were working a few days back, but now they won’t show up. I have tried resetting the device and reinstalling HT5.

I have two Z9X Pro units on v1.0.95 connected to Sony TVs (X93L and A95L). Since a recent Sony system update to both TVs I have been unable to maintain a stable Dolby Vision configuration.

Prior to the update, I used VS10 Engine (valid for HDR) without issue. Now, while the TV banner indicates a Dolby Vision signal is being received, the Sony Picture Settings menu only offers standard HDR options rather than the correct DV Bright/Dark modes. This points to a metadata or tunneling mismatch...

Yesterday something really terrifying happened, my whole movie catalog was deleted by the Z9X Pro(!!). I'm 99% sure of that, as nobody else was using a device in our home. Every movie in that directory is gone!

Z9X Pro newbie here... The player can't play this mkv file. I've included the MediaInfo details below. Can you someone please tell me if it's an audio codec or video codec issue? Can I change the incompatible codec using Handbrake and keep the 3D SBS format? Thank you so much!

SETUP

Using a Zidoo Z9X Pro 4K connected via USB to a Seagate Expansion 24TB External HDD since Nov 2025. No issues.
To add content to Seagate I connect it to MacBook Pro via USB and copy MKV files over.
I plug Seagate back into the Zidoo and watch the newly copied content.

ISSUE

Yesterday, when Seagate was plugged into MacBook, I saw several hundred MKV files that said "zero bytes". Couldn't open the files. A lot of these files played...

I did a search and found nothing.

HOW big a drive can I use on my Z2000 PRO????? At present I'm using a 18 TB drive When formated = just over 16 TB. I just Had to move loads of files to another mediaplayer as I ran out of SPACE. Would appreciate an honest reply.

I assume that I can't add another large drive unless it is connected to my EG. laptop. I hope this doesn't make an arm out off u and me.

I've finally found a way to control Zidoo's fan over network. Since the API does not support controlling the fan speed, this took a bit more effort to make it work. But it is doable over a ADB connection. So you need ADB tools installed on the automation system sending the commands. Once the ADB connection is open, you can:

I have a Ziddo Z9X Pro and an Asustor AS3102T NAS, everything is working fine on that end.

I just built a new PC. My old one had shared folders that I could access directly from the Zidoo.

Knowing I was going to switch PCs, I did things the right way: I transferred the files elsewhere and properly removed the source in the Zidoo.

I set up my new PC and wanted to reconnect the Zidoo to it.

I enabled file sharing for the relevant folders and granted the necessary permissions.

movie matching system not working

Today, after a year of having my zidoo z20 pro the movie matching system is not working. Every movie file ive added since yesterday is unmatched and when i go to enter manual matching, system cant find any match, on popular films. I've restarted the zidoo. Is it just my problem of are others having the same problem?

My TV supports 3D (Philips 50PUS6809/60).
I bought a Z9X Pro to watch BD3D.ISO
When I turn on viewing ISO, TV goes into 3D mode, but instead of an image, I see stripes at the top of the screen.
I tried different HDMI cables (including the original Philips HDMI 2.1)
Another Blu-ray player shows normal 3D.
I'm attaching a picture. What should I do?

Hi ,

i just setup my new Zidoo Z20 Pro with internal HDD and i am facing a speed problem
when i am copying movies from my PC thru LAN.

The PC is connected in 1GB lan , with cable ,the zidoo also ,
the cable is CAT6 .

The tranfer rate is only 25MB/s .

if i try thru wifi is 5 MB/s.

In the other side when i am copying in the same network to synology
the tranfer rate goew up to 55MB/s .

My zidoo has the v1.0.65 version.
the HDD is seagate 4TB 5400 rpm NAS

What am i doing wrong ?

Hi

I've been having playback issues with the Z9X Pro for a while now and its pretty annoying, I start a movie playing and it plays for about a second and then just stops and the Receiver then see's no signal so goes to the screen saver, if I then press stop the screen goes back to the movie poster and if I try playing it again sometimes it will play fine but other times I need to try 2 or 3 times and eventually it will play.

It does this completely at random with no common file type, all...

My zidoos sources keep dropping off and I’ve had to add them back multiple times lately. once when I bought a new router, another when a had a power outage, and another when adding a network switch.

A static IP will likely fix this but the IP dosnt change, Kodi dosnt lose its sources and neither does plex.
Why does the zidoo?

also, I share 8 drives in an SMB share, all but one drive works, the drive that dosnt is found but it shows as empty where all the other drives show the movie...

Although this is essentially a copy of the first post in the EDID thread in the 1619DR forum, there are some fundamental ways in which the use of EDIDs can vary in the 1619BPD players, so I thought it was a good idea to start an EDID thread here too.

RTD1619 Zidoo players allow EDIDs to be uploaded to override the EDID presented by the display, amp or soundbar.

Amongst other things this allows the Zidoos to present an LLDV output with colour primaries that a non-LLDV...
