Solution: Zidoo continually rebooting

I recently purchased a Zidoo Z9x 8k and hit the issue that's been reported here in the past where the Zidoo boots to the dashboard, hangs after a couple of seconds, then reboots endlessly when connected to wireless.

I believe I've figured out what is happening.

It appears to me that when the Zidoo boots, with the default settings, it is trying to load/refresh the posterwall before the Zidoo has established the wireless network connection and hits a fatal exception because it has no network...

Hi, other brands media players like Zappiti and R-Volution have this feature where the user can add Dolby Atmos or DTS demo trailer at the begining of the movie.

Do we have something similar in Zidoo either by default or a hack ? Please advise...

I just got Zidoo UHD 8000. My AVR, Pioneer SC-LX58, supports 4K. But, my projector is Sony 1080P. I am yet to upgrade the projector to 4K. I also have Apple TV 4K. I play 4K movies by keeping them in my external hard disk. I play them using Infuse or Plex on Apple TV 4K. I find the picture quality of the same movie bright and better on Apple TV 4K, but it is dark and muted when played from Zidoo.

I tried tweaking the configuration on both zidoo (picture parameters, AI optimization, etc.)...

Very grateful if someone could help a complete Zidoo newbie!

I just purchased a Z20 Pro and a brand new 16TB HD. I understand I need to format the HD before inserting it in the Z20's bay. Which format would you recommend?

I intend to use my Zidoo in combination with an Asus ROG NUC mini-PC running Windows 11.

The Z20 will be connected to my TV with the delivered HDMI cable.

I understand the Zidoo, mini-PC and TV should preferably all be connected to the router via ethernet?

@Markswift2003 . I am sorry to ping you but I assumed you would know this for sure. What is the attached encoding format? It looks like Dolby Vision Profile 8? But it also has HDR10 and HDR10+ formats? Is this one of those "hybrid" files that we were discussing a while ago in another thread?

UHD3000: Rare freezing early morning!

Since I first got my UHD3000 on rare occasions it freezes and is unresponsive unless I turn the power off and then back on to fix it. The image shows the time it froze and the small red light that normally only comes on when it is off, illuminates. BTW the gilded shell is to keep my cat from sitting on the Zidoo, works. I do gilding as a hobby. Otherwise the unit performs really well and never a freeze or a glitch when viewing a file.
