Modern streamers like the Eversolo T8 support album art and track metadata display via NAA6 (Network Audio Adapter v6), the new protocol from Signalyst.

Unfortunately, Roon doesn’t support NAA6, so metadata isn’t displayed when routing Roon → HQPlayer → streamer.

To fix this, I built a proxy that sits between HQPlayer and the NAA endpoint, injecting Roon metadata into the HQPlayer stream. With it properly configured, you get full metadata display on NAA6-capable streamers...

Since 2018 I started the streaming odyssey after my good SACD player died suddenly (Arcam CD37). I started with Tidal on Auralic Aries Femto but soon I discovered Qobuz sound quality and never came back.
Now since I have T8 enabled with Qobuz Connect, I want to know your opinion on its sound quality vs the built-in App in Eversolo.
As I know, Q Connect establish a direct link servers-device and avoids any interference and so on.

I'm experiencing an issue with Spotify Connect on my T8 since updating to the latest firmware (V1.5.62)

Setup:
- Eversolo T8 > DAC-Z10 (via I2S) > Luxman L-509Z
- T8 connected via wired Gigabit Ethernet
- Spotify Connect initiated from iPhone (latest iOS/Spotify app)
- Spotify Premium account, lossless enabled

Issue:
Spotify Connect playback stops after 1-2 songs. The stream simply drops with no error message on the T8 or on the phone. I have to manually reconnect from the Spotify app...

Analysis Plus seems to work better, with more clarity and better bass integration than Kimber.
Has anyone tried other combinations of power cables and which was more successful in your system?

Every time I turn on the T8, for the first 40-50 seconds it switches between various strange refresh rates, generating a very unpleasant noise!
Then, when the latest album starts playing automatically, it sets the correct refresh rate and sounds perfect.
To avoid hearing this, I programmed the remote to mute the DAC for a minute when the T8 starts up, but...

WiFi - connected through WiFi6, negotiated link speed 1.2GBps. Actual file copy speed - 12-15MB/s
Wired - connected to a 2.5Gbps switch, negotiated link speed 1Gbps. Actual file copy - 20MB/s

Both copying to the internal storage, or an external SSD (970 EVO Plus 1TB) is so slow.
