Youtube app on the DMP-A6?

I need to rename my device name on Eversolo to make it work.
Now it is playing music but all music is converted to 192khz

 

Go to Settings and change sampling rate to original.

 

Yes I set the sample rate as original and I tried to use internal DAC or usb DAC, but all is outputting 192khz

 

No settings on the Plex server / client for this? (I know there shouldn't, but...)

 

No, actually the android app seems to not bitperfect output

 

I loaded SmartTube and that works great as well.

 

How do you control it? Finding content?

Has search function and all the controls/options like you'd see on phone app. Yes you have to select what you watch from screen but if I watch someone's channels or playing random content, I am able to jump back n forth via the Hegel's amp remote.

 

Is there a way to use the official YouTube app? I know it can be loaded but requires google play services. Can Google play services APK be loaded separate onto the eversolo to make it work?

I know YouTubeVanced was mentioned but I would like to use the official YouTube or another alternative that I can sign into my account and perhaps is more future proof.

 

Please tell me if it is possible to play youtube music on the A6? If so, what are the steps? Thank you

 

Search Smarttube.

Download file onto usb and plug into back of A6 and turn unit on.
Access file from files function on A6. Select it and install process will start.

Once installed, app available in apps function.

When youtube thumbnails are displayed, press icon on bottom right hand corner (return option) and Smarttube should present you with menu on left of screen.

Works fine.
