External SSD drives with Zidoo Pro 1000

Hi Good Peeps!

Will my Zidoo Z1000 Pro work with an external SSD drive plugged into its USB ports?
Would I need some kind of adapter contraption cable for this, or will a standard USB cable work?
Or does it need a special enclosure perhaps?

Update on this one:
SSD portable harddrives works perfectly with standard USB cabling.

The only bit I am unable to do, is copy files from my Windows laptop directly to that drive whilst its plugged into the Zidoo box. Sending files to and from normal HDD drives plugged in works fine.
