I tried a factory reset. No dice. In fact the problem got worse.
    1. Playing Matrix UHD DV ISO, the video started choppy then played ok, then 5 mins in, video froze. Audio played. I had to stop and restart to resume video again.
    2. The stuttering is still there in DV movies
    3. Also while playing Man of steel, there was an audio drop out for 1 second.

At this point I really want to roll back to previous version. How do I do that?

I use all HDMI 2.1 48 Gbps cables. And the movies are all in an HDD inserted into the Zidoo's internal slot.

happens to me for the first time in 3 firmware upgrade and since i buy the box.
happens to almost (maybe not almost but a large amount of people like you see) people especially with new firmware....
please send a report cause if ,im my stupid opinion (and lucky i dont have) other bug are minor ,this is really bad. i can live with a audio dropout 2/3 times a film , but freeze the image and audio continue is bad.... happens 3 time yesterday night and i can assure you It completely ruins the viewing experience, 3000 dollars for audio/tv and i cant watch a movie (and this object is only for that purpose, via nas or local)......never a cheap 30 bucks android box do this....sorry for be angry....

The bug with freezing of the picture (the sound continues) was present in previous firmware versions, but in the latest one it started to appear much more often (possibly a coincidence).

I continue to experience 2 major bugs that spoil the fun of watching movies:
    1. there is a strange jerking/stuttering effect in movies. This appears randomly and manifests itself in such a way that the movie skips frames approximately every 15-20 seconds of runtime. It MAY be that this effect only occurs with web movies and not with Bluray/UHD rips, but I'm not 100% sure. The effect goes away when I stop and restart the movie. My Z9S, on the other hand, plays these movies flawlessly.
    2. if I skip forward in time by pressing a button for 1 minute, a strange phenomenon occurs: approx. every 15 seconds the picture and sound freezes for approx. 3 seconds and then continues. This is a persistent effect. If I press Pause/Play again or stop the movie and then press Play, the error disappears.

I only play x264/1080p and x265/2160p movies with all kind of audio codecs (usually DTS-Core and DD5.1(plus))

    Setup: Z9x 8K (FW1.1.80) - HDMI 2.1 certified cable - Pioneer VSX 835 - HDMI 2.1 certified cable - LG Oled83C1 (eACR-Port/HDMI 2)

    Who can confirm these errors?
    Who can explain the cause?

    Thanks in advance!

The problem with the image freezing is widespread. I got this problem on the second movie I watched on the new firmware. It seems that none of the developers watch movies on their boxes, so they do not admit its reality. The error report on the boxes does not work, it is unclear how a solution to the problem can be started

Ok - I sent an email about this video stopping issue with a lot of the links above to all your posts.

This seems to be a big problem but as often happens, I am unable to replicate any of these problems.

But I performed a factory reset soon after installing the latest firmware for completely different reasons so maybe that fixed it before I saw the problem.

Maybe some of you can try a factory reset (I know it's a PITA) and see if that fixes it.

The problem with issues like these as always is that of replication but at least if a factory reset helps to fix it, it will give us a clue what's going on.

@Temearoo , can you send me some links to comments on the French forum please and I will pass these on to the devs too.

    This needs fixing ASAP.

I did a factory reset on firmware 1.1.70 (twice) and immediately after installing firmware 1.1.80. This does not solve the problem of random freezing of the picture with the continuation of the sound. My equipment is very simple - a box and a TV

My Z3000 also stutters repeatedly and at more or less regular intervals, but only with 4k DV movies. All my movies are stored on an HDD housed in the Z3000's internal slot. Unfortunately I don't have an explanation for this problem :(

Can you please be more precise?
In which interval (i.e. 15 secs oder 1min) your stuttering appears?
Have you checked other movies like 1080p ones?
In which interval does the stuttering appear? Is it always the same interval? Do you have VS10 activated? And so on...

Stuttering can have a lot of reasons...we need to develop ideas. Therefore we need as many infos as you can deliver.

For example your stuttering probably has a totally different reason than mine explained above...

I also have stutters, but only on "ts" TV recordings.

Stuttering occurs at intervals of 5/10 seconds and repeats at more or less regular intervals. Only occur with 4k DV movies. All 1080p and 4k HDR/HDR+ movies are smooth. There are stutters both if I set LED TV or LED Passthrough TV (Auto). I don't use VS10. All my movies are MKV ripped with MakeMKV from original physical media.
