Please tell me how to find out what firmware version is installed in my box - G or not G

Just go into settings scroll right over to right and then scroll down to Update press and all will be revealed - if you have the G version the firmware installed will have "_G" at the end - eg v1.1.70_G :)

Odd thing is I can't replicate the problem today - all formats behave as expected.

I use the S&M patterns which have a 1s audio "pip" so of course the sync goes in cycles of 1000ms - ie if you set elay or advance out by 1000s the pattern appears to be in sync (even though it isn't).

But today all codecs behave as expected - I'm not getting the problem of DTS being "in sync" at 1500ms for example.

The only thing that's changed is I had to do a factory reset because I buggered about with screen ratio settings and upset the box.

So I'm back to square one - all codecs in sync and the delay setting acting as expected...

so off the back off that - whoever is having lip sync issues do a factory reset and retest and post your results....not very scientific but its worth a try maybe?

That's exactly it) I didn't understand why I didn't have the problems that they write about, that's why I didn't write in this topic until yesterday, until I did as everyone said - "reset is not necessary when updating the firmware". Today I did a full reset, as I always did before, and the problem with the image freezing with the sound working is gone.

I generally never turn my test box off and never do anything after a firmware update, not even a power cycle.

But part of that is to see if anything bad happens (usually doesn't). I can see things going more awry with differential firmware than the full images we had with the Realtek boxes, but it should never necessitate a factory reset - that's a PITA at the best of times.

But sometimes it's just going to throw a massive fit and a factory reset is needed.

So you did the full factory reset?

I always do a full power down (not reset) after an upgrade. So far I've had zero issues.

Can you PM me a link to a sample (upload to Mega.nz or similar).

All my previously problematic VC-1 encodes now play without a problem.

I did the cold power reset. But didn’t help. Every DV movie stutters every few minutes. . Audio seems fine.

The problem is that there is no specific VC-1 file that has the audio delay. All the VC-1 files I have have the same problem and they are all movies ripped with MakeMKV from original physical media.

If every DV movie stutters every few minutes I guarantee that's not the player.

I don't have many VC-1 movies, but I do have quite a few samples that have been provided over the last few months by users as issues arose.

There were several problems including lipsync, visual artifacting and frame drops, but without exception, all the VC-1 samples I have now play without a problem.

I also have the same problem after the latest update. Both when setting TV Led and TV Led Passthrough Auto, the stuttering problem exists. And before with version 1.1.70 the stutters were there but they were less evident.

Not working for me. I still have this problem after f/w upgrade. Tried on Win10 so far & still have the error notification. Will try on Win11 later.
What OS are you using or have you tried on both Win10 & Win11?

My UHD8000 does not see firmware update to v1.1.80 via OTA. Please provide a link to the firmware file. Thank you.
