I hope so, any clue to reproduce an issue will help the devs.

I get stuttering and freezes if I play from HT5 or Media Center. I doubt cleaning the HT5 cache has any impact.

Having stuttering and freezes also with FileManager (meaning it’s not only via HT5).

Maybe a clue : I have tested a few 8k video of Eugene Belsky and all are concerned by the stuttering and or freezes

    Somebody to try and confirm?

Completely agree. The cache cleaning may help but it’s not the cause. I think cache is causing other issues!!

"Set Bookmark Start Time to 5 mins
Started a movie and scrolled to 4 mins then stopped - no play time shown and movie resumes at start (expected behaviour)"
That's really weird, mine shows play time before 5 min but does start from beginning as expected.
But after the 5 min mark, video's resume where they left off except the dialog to hit left to start over just brings up the scroll instead of starting the video from the beginning.

Easy enough to overlook I'm sure. Hopefully this helps.

Initially I also had freezes and stutters but after doing a factory reset and clearing the HT5 app cache, even when going back and forth during playback, I had no more problems.

I did a factory reset and cleaned the cache. Made no difference for me.

With this release I am experiencing stuttering on the playback of audio files (Atmos mp4), which did not happen on any of the previous releases - Since there is no rollback procedure, I hope Zidoo is working dilligently to generate a quick fix upgrade - I wonder if even a diferential "upgrade" to what 1.1.70 used to be would be possible (not a rollback, but an upgrade to a "new" firmware with the content equal of 1.1.70) - Unfortunately my Z9K8K is unusable at this point.

I hear you buddy! Each of us has different situations and problems that sometimes manifest and sometimes not. There is no logic to this and it is difficult to understand and find a solution.

Where is the location to clear the APP cache? thank you.

There is a logic for sure. The fact is the bug’s root cause is not as simply as 123 to identify. Hoping the community will help and positively contribute

So a little conclusion. Almost my entire collection is 1080p 23,976 fps x264 or x265. I ve watched a lot of episodes or movies in this period and everything seems to be ok. Shuttering is appearing only on pausing a video and entering screensaver mode but not encountering any freezing or shuttering problem.

I think that the problem is with 4k files and 4k HDR or DV. And there shoud the devs start searching for a fix. For 1080p files on my box this is not happening anymore. I had small microshuttering for a few days after the update but now everything seems to be ok. Didn't do anything, not even clearing the cache, very strange behaviour if you take in consideration that the files were stored in the same place (attached external USB HDD).

Also I can confirm that after making the delay for DTS with 125ms I dont have any sync problems with the audio tracks.

I had this video freeze, audio continues, issue a couple of times 120 mins into a 160 mins 4K DV movie. A quick scan back a few seconds corrected it. Small annoyance to be sure but not awful. Tbh, until I read this thread and the other announcement, I thought it might just be that file! ‍♂️

But you are supposed to be outraged and bash the company and swear you will never buy from them again.

Good day. Please tell me if the Samsung S95C TV supports HDR Vivid or not? I was just curious to see this sign on the TV)). I searched for content for 2 weeks - I found nothing. Does anyone have a link to download a movie recorded in HDR Vivid. I would be grateful if you share it.
I downloaded what was posted in this thread and did not see this. I want to see - what TV should I change it to?))))

No, it won't support HDR Vivid directly - on a true HDR Vivid display, the decoder processes dynamic metadata and displays the resultant image - think of it like TV Led Dolby Vision but without the HDMI Tunnel - it's a standard 4:2:0 video signal.

However there is also a second mode analogous to Player Led Dolby Vision where the playback device decodes the HDR Vivid signal and outputs a pre decoded signal - a playback device should be able to support either method, so in the case of an HDR display, this second "Playback Device Method" is used.

If the playback device doesn't support HDR Vivid, the content is backwards compatible.

Here are a couple of short example clips in HDR Vivid provided under Fair Use:
