Hi everyone. I have a Zidoo Z9X Pro media player, and today I connected it to my Epson 6050 projector, and it's working as it should (it plays every file), except the image flickers, regardless of if it's in the menu or playing a movie. This happens every few seconds. It's pretty much unwatchable, it's very noticeable. Is this a known issue? Or can anyone please help me solve this issue?
I have essentially the same combo with an Epson 6050 and see no issues... You need to provide some more info...... what do you exactly mean by flickering??? image is still there but pulses brighter? Image pulses to black between "flickers"? You need to try and isolate the flickering to see if it is just 4K Dolby Vision files? regular 1080p? Is your bulb flickering because in some cases Epsons will flicker on its lamp power Eco mode? What happens when you use another source on your projector?
Hi Deano86, thanks for your reply. For some reason the forum didn't send a mail alerting me about your reply, and I'm only seeing it today. Regarding the issue, it took me several weeks, and a lot of trial and error, but I finally found the problem. I pretty much turned off everything I could in the mediaplayer display options, the projector, and even the AVR, and magically the problem vanished, so I started turning on all those features, one by one, and eventually I discovered that it was the 8 bit, 10 bit, and 12 bits modes on the media player (I don't remember exactly the name, sorry). So, at least for now I have to use the 8 bits option only. I didn't have the time yet to search exactly what I'm missing, not seeing 10 bits color, but I'm happy that the image doesn't flicker anymore.
That really makes no sense. I have been running Epson projectors with Zidoos for several years now.. never have seen that. But, with such a weird display type artifact, I would make sure you swap out your hdmi cable! Like I said, the only "flickering" I have ever seen on an projector was when running on Eco mode.. .the image would sometimes pulse as the lamp struggled with the lower power. Switching to Medium would always fix it. Otherwise the only flickering I have heard of is from poorly mastered or ripped 4K HDR /Dolby Vision files. The 8, 10 or 12 bit modes should have nothing to do with flickering. In lieu of finding any other cause, do a factory reset on your Z9x.
I have noticed the flickering when its set to 10 bit on my Z20 Pro outputting to a Sony VPL-HW40ES (1080p). the flickering is very slight. It does goes away when i change back to 8 bit.
При выводе 3D было мерцание между эпизодами. Поставил 8 бит, мерцание исчезло но и качество 3D стало хуже
