Zidoo Z2000 PRO - Chapter problem

    I'm writing to you because I'm having a problem with some of my MKV files.
    I primarily use my Zidoo to play concerts in MKV format.
    For some of my concerts, Zidoo acts as if there are no chapters... even though there are, since most of the time I created them myself (with MKVTOOLNIX). I'm sure of this because when I play this same file via Plex, Plex sees my chapters...
    I should point out that this doesn't happen on all my MKV files, but only on certain ones...
    If anyone has a solution, I'm all ears...

    PS: I don't know if this can help, but when I go to the menu of my MKV, it doesn't show me the Blu-ray menu (where the chapters are).

    All of my concert films that I ripped myself have song chapters that can be skipped back and forth to... But, as you should be well aware of by now.. Zidoos do not always do well with playing some films using full menus ... especially ISOs... but FWIW, the few concert films that I do have seem to show the menu and i can select individual songs from the menu when selecting the play the BDMV option...

    Can you provide a MediaInfo report of one of the offending files - If chapter selection doesn't work and if the BluRay Menu option doesn't show chapters then there aren't any chapters in the file that the box can recognise, but I know from experience that creating chapters in MKVToolnix isn't a problem.

    No idea why that doesn't work - it looks normal, and as I say, if I add chapters from MKVToolnix they're recognised just fine. So I haven't got an answer I'm afraid.

    If you want to post the file to mega or similar and PM me a link I'd be happy to have a look at it.

    Ok - yeah, weird - A Z9X Pro (Realtek 1619BPD) won't see the chapters.

    Also tested an old Z9X (Realtek 1619DR) and that wouldn't see chapters either.

    But tested on a current Z9X 8K and that sees chapters fine...


    There's definitely something odd in the way the chapters are muxed in.

    If I export the chapters as an XML file, remove them from the file and then re-import them with MKVToolnix, they work...

    It's very strange, yet I created two files with exactly the same settings (only the videos change), and on one, it plays the chapters, and on the other, it doesn't...
    Then I went back to my file, where the chapters weren't playable because I noticed that some videos were distorted during encoding. So I re-encoded these videos and encoded the audio in a different format, and then, strangely, the chapters played.
