Hello, I plan on buying a zidoo for watching 3d iso or MVC and UHD HDR files. Which one is better, Zidoo x8 or x9s? Zidoo x8 is a lot cheaper here. I will use an external hdd through USB. Thanks
only real difference is the case, x9s has an aluminium case, and a external SATA port for connecting a HDD trough sata. i'd say go for x8
I own both X9S and X8, depending on how you want to use it......if you do HDMI-In recording, then you may consider X9S with SATA interface to dump your recordings there, otherwise, go with HaoSs suggestion with the X8. Personally, I prefer the X8 due to smaller size sitting right in front of the TV dealing with just one antenna. My wife is using the X9S and prefers the cool looking box, not to mention that it runs cooler with the aluminum case. With all that said, both are outstanding boxes and both meet all our simple needs, as a matter of fact, I bought a bargain X9S for $89 on Amazon Prime day as a spare. Geekbuying is selling X9S for $118.99, but it may take 2 to 3 weeks to arrive. By the way, firmware updates usually come out for X9S first, a week or two later for the X8.
