waiting for new fw now, I'm using fw version v1.0.15 for my customer, I see it running better than v1.0.17
Already tested with h3_v1.0.17 and none of them work. Also Sling does not work and does not even install. Will trace this issue on your next update this week. But the good thing is PopcornTime app is working so so; https://popcorntime.io/ As the Android app on this page is optimized for phone only, not for Android Box or Tablet, the app does not accept data reception via ethernet but only via Wifi. The wifi reception on X1 is terrible and does not show any stream movie. But fortunatelly RedBullTv app is working great. So the bug that I mention here is the wifi reception. Drivers shall be updated, otherwise wifi is unusable.
Barisg, did you check on your router the speed of the connection ? Did you do any speed tests for it, as described in this forums? Regarding KODI, I'm quite disapointed about the official releases (the one downloaded from kodi.tv) Kodi 15.0 seems to be ok, but 15.1 and 15.1.1 are very bad. And I did not noticed any improvements between 14.2 and 15.0. So I guess it does not matter too much if we will have Kodi 14.2 or Kodi 15.0, or Kodi 13 or 99, the most important thing is to have a fluent playback on both video and audio. Don't jump into the latest versions of kodi, as they are unstable...
720p, there is absolutely no relation between my complaint of the slowness of wifi and the Kodi versions that you mentioned. Besides, I have made reviews on firmware versions .15, .16 and .17. Let me repeat the related stuff here again, for information purpose; Connection Speed. The distance between the modem and Zidoo X1 is 15 cm. There is huge lag on Ping time. Sorry, Kodi is a separate topic, it was not related to your wi-fi speed. BTW I see that your wifi bandwith is quite good, there is just a little delay in ping, but the download/upload on wifi were quite near ethernet. If you have encription on wireless and it could get a slight delay Zidoo.. any idea when we should see the new firmware coming? Thanks
TED works properly but HBO GO is not compliant with X1 as many others. AppsGo works fine but Youtube app that is installed via AppsGo does not function properly. It also does not respond to remote control.
Youtube application will not ok because need allwinner to release android tv for this cpu. Until now, youtube is for phone, and youtube tv is for android tv.
New firmware v1.0.18, aspect ratio not working in 1080p24. You can see on apple trailers that 1080p is not displayed correctly. Something is missing from zdcoded aspect ratio corection
Because file is not 1920x1080 and is 1920x816, aspect ratio is wrong. Try to play 1920x816 video file.
