Zidoo TMDB server down?

There is no issue with TMDB server. It works just fine.

The problem is with Zidoo firmware on all their boxes. Everyone is in the same boat and waiting for a fix. It's taking Zidoo longer than most people would have liked. Their lack of acknowledgement or communication with the users is a textbook example of bad PR.

2. Optimized the TV series matching function

Has anyone tried this fix? If so is it safe and does it resolve the movie scrapping issue? As I’ve never used beta software before.

F**k me I did the update thank you Zidoo it fixed the problem however I had over 190+ movies unmatched.
So if you have a big library of movies u may b re-matching movie for a while. Hopefully Zidoo will bring out a new version soon as I’m still on version 1.0.95 hopefully Zidoo r working on a more permanent version. I have the Zidoo uh5000 and I love it great product. Hopefully Zidoo can come out with a new os version soon

There's a database backup feature in Zidoo Home Theatre. Once you have your database sorted how you want it, it's a good idea to back it up.

 

Oh I never knew that thanks I’ll have a look I’ve only had my Zidoo since July 10 2024 so some what new. I only get the Zidoo from YouTube recommendations I was looking at jellyfish but Zidoo UI looks way nicer. If I had of waited 1 more week I could have bought the 8000 series. When I saw that I was like nnnnnnnoooooo dam it

 

There are 3 update files, and they all are for different machines !!!!!!!!

it did not work with my z9x 8k, It matches TV/episodes like it did yesterday, but not the movies.

 

Question regarding the the back up function might sound dumb but if for some reason I need to do a factory reset does that delete the back up file?

 

Is this what's causing actors/cast members to not display in details screen? Also, all the movies for actors are empty and they were there before since I ignore .nfo when I scrape.

2. then u put this file on to a flash drive: http://apidl.zidoo.tv/app/zidoo_poster_1619B_v4.3.37_Beta.apk

3. then u need to unzip the download: http://apidl.zidoo.tv/app/zidoo_poster_1619B_v4.3.37_Beta.apk on the flash drive

4. once unzipped u will have this file: zidoo_poster_1619B_v4.3.37_Beta.apk.cpgz

5. once u have this: zidoo_poster_1619B_v4.3.37_Beta.apk.cpgz plug ur flash drive into ur Zidoo it should pop up

6. then select this file zidoo_poster_1619B_v4.3.37_Beta.apk.cpgz the update should start

Wow, it could be easier. Download the APK file with any web browser. Save it unchanged on a USB device or via network directly on the media player. Start the file manager on the Zidoo, start the APK file - install. Done.

In one of your previous posts i can see you have a UHD5000 ,please follow these instructions !!

There is no need to unpack the .APK file !

 

If you store the backup on internal storage, yes, it will get wipped with a factory reset, so always best to store backups on external storage.

After applying the TMDB fix for my Z9X 8K, I noticed that the HT5 posterwall and settings backup (ztb file) is suddenly considerably smaller than before the patch (at least 50% for about 600 movies and series).
In settings I use the option that all posters are stored in the same map.
Is this normal behaviour or ot did the TMDB fix result in an error of the backup procedure?
Can someone enlighten me?
