Zidoo TMDB server down?

I just added Nosferatu and Moana 2 and my 9X can't find either movie. Is the server down?

 

I cant find any movie in my database.
I reset the whole damn zidoo to factory settings and nothing.
What is going on? Its been like this for 24 hours. Could they atleast inform us so we would not think our players are broken?

Any info please!??

Someone at Zidoo needs to plug it back in.

Hi there! I’m new here to this platform and I’m having a bit of trouble. I thought my Zidoo UH5000 was the issue I have had my zidoo since July 10 2024 im glad its not the Zidoo, but it seems like there might be a problem with the TMDB server. It would have been nice if there was some comuniction. I was hoping someone could let us know when TMDB expected to be back up. Thanks heaps

 

Support has been informed and I assume that they are working flat out on it. One can only speculate how long it would take, but I think they are aware that one of the main functions of the player is severely affected.

Online trailers are also not working.

 

It's a shame Zidoo support. Probably it's time to people to move on to another company so they learn their lesson like others before them.

 

Thanks Bill, just got the player today and glad I'm not alone - they'll sort it pretty fast I'm sure.

 

There is no way to sugarcoat the inefficiency of Ziddo support to deal with this.
2 days with an entire lineup of their devices crippled of one their most important features? Is not only inefficient but unprofessional too.

You are acting like the devices became conscious and started to take over the world to enslave all humans....it's just an api issue.
They still turn on, they still play movies, you can still manually add movie infos

While you are right, that a response from Zidoo would be nice, it could just be that they are working on a fix this exact moment!

So just relax until there is a fix.

And even IF they dont: I'm sure it's easy to patch this unofficially. I looked at the code for the webinterface api and it's not that complicated.

No more Zidoo for me. Time to move back to Dune HD.

 

Have fun with never-finished MyCollection, no online trailer and eternal waiting for useless FW updates.

 

The grass isn't much greener over there. Dune uses the same chipset so they share most of the same bugs. I can confirm scraping is working fine on the Dune boxes currently, though their poster wall does not compare to Zidoo.

Did a factory reset and lost all my posters. Took me 20 whole minutes to figure out how to download and use Tiny media manager to add them all back. I only have 200 movies so wasn't too bad though.

 

Home Theater has an easy-to-use backup function.

Tiny Manager is also not the yellow of the egg, it constantly refused to download some trailers until I didn't feel like using this tool and preferred to wait 13 seconds until Home Theater showed the online trailers, and I have less garbage on my hard drives and everything is organized.
