zidoo player for kodi 21.2 , 22

Now you can use zidoo internal player
With kodi 21.2 , 22

for local and streaming files not like ZDMC only local


First install player switch addon


Then open addon and select local custom playercorefactory from files


just delete .txt at the end of file before select


I tried it on
HDD 8K Media player(AML S928X) devices

 

This addon just copies the playercorefactory file. And this is not enough to get Kodi to use the Zidoo player. I tried it and it is not working.

I try it on kodi 21.2 , kodi 22 , maven kodi version all its works

i try it on Zidoo z9x 8k

not working on ZDMC version bcz already Playercorefactorty file changed

 

I tried it on a Zidoo Z10. So this may be the difference.

 

on older players the package is not called "com.zidoo.player" it's "com.android.gallery3d"

I'm pretty sure we've tried this mod previously and found there were some things that needed to be sent alongside the file request for the gallery app to play the file and nobody was able to get it to work properly.

If it works on the AMLogic boxes it's probably because they have a completely different player app and OS structure.

 

I tried both package names. None of them working.

I cannot get this to work on my Z9X 8K with Kodi 21.1

 

Modified xml for local and streaming content
Tested on kodi 22

 

it does work ~ Z9x8K could not install kodi 21 , kodi 22. So install ZDMC ,and use this method , it could use zidoo player

 

I installed on Zidoo z9x 8K , it works great with ZDMC 21.02

 

Hey dude , how could you install kodi 21 on Z9X8K ? I just can install ZDMC 21 . while I install kodi (downloaded from kodi.tv) , it failed.

 

For me it’s work with other kodi version i can install and watch

im using G version firmware of z9x 8k

make sure its armv7a version when you are downloading

 

Thats because ZDMC has this functionality built in, you didnt need to do any mod for it to use the Zidoo player properly.

I tried this again last night. I uninstalled Kodi completely. Downloaded a new Kodi 22 build for armv7a, installed the easy switch addon and pointed the custom player to the xml file. It says it is installed and to restart which I did. Any video I tried to play it just closes out and goes back to the page. No video will play.

I have a Z9x 8K using the G version of the most recent firmware.
