    As a suggestion, I use the naming scheme Mark Swift explained for Movie extras. For TV series, I have found that the extras are almost always listed in TMDB as "season 0" of the TV show. I create a "Season 0" folder and then name the various extras according to that schema, Like "TVshow - S00E0X"
    I believe TVDB also does this, but the episode order maybe different.

    Thank you. Bit cumbersome, but it works!

    And good news: After clearing the database and re-adding all sources, genres are finally working! HT even looks different now. New Homescreen with "Bored Mode", "Watching", "Recently Added" shortcuts. Wasn't there before. Seems like without fully resetting the database, HT5 doesn't work properly. Thank you :cool:

    Not ideal for tv shows with lots of seasons, but it works. But I can't get the file name to show as the episode name, no matter what. If a show has 30-50 extras, it's game over :D
    I've tried: ("X" being the name to show in HT)
    TVshow - S00E0X
    TVshow - S00E01 - X
    TVshow - S00E01 (1#X)
    TVshow - S00E01 (E01#X)

    A lot of people are paying crazy money to be sent on an erotic journey. But what's your point? :D
    Btw, you're not working for Ugoos by any chance? :rolleyes:

    As an example, for the original Star Trek TVShow, there is a copy of the original pilot, "The Cage". It is listed as episode 1 in TMDB Season 0 (zero), so the name of the file becomes...

    Star Trek(1966) - S00E01 - The Cage (Original Pilot)

    Note that the episode name is not required. Just something I do for my own bookkeeping.

    This gives me the 3 season folders plus one more, which is labelled "Specials"

    But you are right, 30-50 extras would become very tedious to load. I tend to only load those bonus features I really like. Also, I believe the Zidoo always shows the episode name listed in TMDB, not the file name.

    Yes, I think this is the issue. For TV shows there seems to be no way to tell Zidoo to show the file name :(

    I bought the z9x 8k a few days ago and the only problem I found is the subtitles are too big even at 3. Could the next update please try to make the subs even smaller. Thanks

    Hello, I have a UHD8000 but the update still isn't showing up. Do I have to do it manually by downloading the file? Because nothing is coming through OTA.

    What version are you on? Do you have 'Receive the beta version' checked in the Update app?

    You can find the download link for 1.2.40 in the forum. The v1.2.42 is differential, you've to get the previous fw version installed.
    Alternatively, you can find all dl links in McBluna website https://www.mcbluna.net/wp/tag/z9x-8k/

    This 8k series will probably die as it stands today.

    Everyone remembers what a saga it was, we had several months with boxes running firmware that was simply unusable. With a lot of persistence, they managed to release firmware that, while not stable, at least makes the box usable.

    This leads me to conclude three things:
    1) this 8k series was a complete failure;
    2) they are already working on its successors;
    3) development has completely stopped;

    For me, it was the first and last Zidoo product I will ever buy. :)

    ?

    This has been the best media box Ive ever used. Hands down. Granted I use the PlextoZidoo app, but they have been almost flawless for me. I bought a 2nd one.
