Just to clarify:

"Automatic Updating Sources" means that all defined "Sources", whether local or network, are monitored and then scanned when content changes.

"Automatically Scan Devices" means that local devices (USB or SATA) are scanned when plugged in even if not defined in "Sources". It has no bearing on Network shares.

Assume you mean HT5.0 not HT4.0.

Hello everyone, I recently got a Z9X 8K and wanted to ask if the ALAC format is supported because I have some MKV files with both 2ch and 5.1ch ALAC audio and it doesn't give me the option to select it. In the file info, I see that the format is available, but if I try to select it using the "audio" button, the ALAC track isn't listed. Is this normal?

The file is very large. As soon as I can, I'll see if I can send you a piece of it. Anyway, do you know if the Alac format is supported? Because if it's not supported, there's no point in sending you the file.

No, ALAC is not currently supported so a sample stereo and multichannel file would be useful.

Sorry, but I don't understand. Are you unfamiliar with the Alac format? Why do I have to send you an example? If it's not currently supported, do you know how to add support, or do you really need me to send you a file containing Alac audio?
