    1. Not enough info? What TV Shows? How are they named?

    2. Yes, go into the Library view:

It's almost useless due to the lack of even a minimal search.
I use mobile app and system_setting label to get minimal searching ability through folders or files structure.

    1. Photo attached. In the movie category I can see the concerts, music videos, etc. I already created for music video and concerts another category, is it possible to not show it in movies category?
    2. Photos attached. If I enter to music player - > library (have my music path) and then enter to the folder music in the library, I have nothing (see photo). Maybe I do something wrong?
    3. When I do rematch for some videos why I can't see the posters for the found options (see photo)? Do I have to change something in the settings?

    1. At top level there are only Movies and TV series so concerts will appear in Movies. Easy enough to fix - just keep them in separate sources and use widgets to categorise them.
    2. Don't know - works here.
    3. Again, don't know - works here. Internet issue?

OK, thank you for the answers. 2 and 3 will try to find why that's happening, but internet is ok, I hane cable connection lan 600 mb/s.
    1. Movies and concerts are in the different sources. I mean added as smb different paths, but ht scanning all the sources and categorize all founded video. How I can separate it and restrict to add concerts to movies category?

Ok - so if you Music is on a separate "Source" in HT to your movies you can simply disable the Movies widget and add the two source widgets.

If you send a screenshot of your source screen I can probably help more.

Understood. I know if I create a category I can assign a specific folder, but I thought that it would be better to use already created movies widget. But I think the best way is just create 2 widgets concerts and movies and assign a corresponding folder for each. Will just disable already existing "movies".

Also, if you have two sources for one category then you can use "Multi Device" in the Widget edit screen to combine them into one. It's quite a powerful tool.

Yes - I disable the movies category (I keep "All") and just have my sources (4K Movies, 2K Movies and Documentaries) which are made from several sources using "Multi Devices" (4K is 3 sources, 2K is 4 sources and documentaries is 2 sources).

Thank you for this tip. I don't need it for now, but how I can do it if I need it?
Also, for the music is it possible to install apk of poweramp or foobar? Will it work correctly on zidoo?

If you need it just go to he edit widgets screen and select Multi Device.

As far as apks go, these boxes are not designed for third party apks, so you do that at your own risk.

    Hello Mark,
Thank you for your help. Now I have all set as I wanted. The only thing is when I download new movie or TV show it doesn't actualize and I can't see it until I assing again the source folder movies on my nas - > add to category movies and then I can see a new one. Is it possible to make a rescan for the folders for each category to update if there are new files?

Hello Mark. Sorry for bothering you again with this, but I have changed HT/Settings/Preferences/Automatic Updating Sources > On and anyway the new downloaded files not appears automatically. The ones I delete dissappears, but the new ones not appears. Is there any other setting that I need to check?

No, that's the only setting. Maybe try a cold reboot?

I play my music from a 4-disc array plugged into USB - no issues at all. Suggest you consider a Zidoo with 1 or 2 internal HDDs as well

    Hi
I’ve been a Zidoo user for a long time, but I’ve finally decided to address a persistent and frustrating issue regarding artist images on my Zidoo Z9X 8K V1.3.05_G
I have a large music library of 11TB -DSD64, DSD128, DSD256,DSD512, FLAC, which makes manual correction for every single artist nearly impossible. My folder structure is organized as follows: each artist has a dedicated main folder containing subfolders for every album. Within each main artist folder, I have placed a high-quality image of the artist. Additionally, every album is perfectly tagged.
I have tried the following without success:
1.Toggling the options to scan online vs use local information for artists.
2.Clearing the cache and rebuilding the music library multiple times.
3.Adding the library genre by genre to see if it makes a difference.
4.Creating a separate consolidated folder for all artist images.
5.Experimenting with various image dimensions and file names/folder.jpg, artist.jpg, logo.png/.
Despite these efforts, the player still fails to display the local artist images correctly. It feels like I might be missing something simple in the settings, but I haven't been able to fix it.
Is there a specific naming convention or setting for the Z9X 8K that I should be aware of to ensure local artist images are prioritized?
    _______________

I’m also having a major issue with how Zidoo handles music genres.
My entire library is physically organized by Genre folders (e.g., Rock, Heavy Metal, etc.), and every single file is perfectly tagged with the corresponding Genre. However, Zidoo seems to ignore my local tags and decides on its own where to categorize each artist.
As a result, my library is completely scattered. For example, Deep Purple appears under "Rock" in some places, "Heavy Metal" in others, and I even found one of their albums classified as "Folk." It seems the player is overriding my meticulously managed local metadata with its own online database info, regardless of my settings. Is there a way to force the Zidoo Music Player to strictly use the Genre tag from my local files instead of its online scraper?
Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
