You are right local file not working Only stream so for local ZDMC ONLY CAN WORK I HOPE THE DEVELOPERS RELEASE NEW VERSION OF KODI CAN PLAYING LOCAL AND STREAM CONTENTS ON ZIDOO PLAYER
I make new one depending on https://kodi.wiki/view/HOW-TO:Use_external_players_on_Android It’s working on local and streaming files tested on kodi 22 Don’t forget to delete.txt Try it
Does this fix the issue of Kodi closing itself after watching a video? Or that still happens? Also, using the previous XML file when I play a movie or tv show, it shows just the file address and not the name of the movie. Can that be fixed?
yup still happens But not happening with ZDMC I TRY CHANGE PLAYER OF ZDMC TO SYNCLER BETA FOR STREAMING CONTENTS THEN WHEN I COME BACK ZDMC STILL OPEN BUT PROBLEM WITH ZDMC ZIDOO PLAYER FOR STREAM CONTENTS FAILED TO OPEN IT
thanks for that tip. I'm a newbee. I have a zidoo UHD5000 with a lot of bugs. I have been obliged to install kodi matrix 19.5 because newer versions won't allow to access usb drives. All has been installed like you say and the default player is zidoo. But I have this message that stay and the player don't work. if you have any idea. thanks
Thank you, that sounds interesting! This "Player Switch Addon" or "Easyplayerswitch" however it is called is exclusively for the AML S928X-Players, correct? Not for the old RTD 1619.....Devices? I wonder if this will ever make its way into the official Kodi Addon Repository.
Out of curiosity, what is the general update/release timeline for ZDMC? I was a long-time Kodi user on my previous Android device because it was faster to navigate files...especially the nice feature to go via alphabet. I installed ZDMC on my Zidoo 9X 8K and it works most of the time. However, I often end up with a glitch where selecting a media file doesn't open in the default Zidoo player. It tries to open and then fails. I end up having to use the Zidoo file manager to open it. I do have external player enabled in the settings...and it does work a lot of the time. Is there something else I need to do or will ZDMC updates come in the future and possibly fix the bug?
Honestly, they have abandoned this app, and don't seem to care about the bugs. We have been waiting 2 years for an update, but they are too busy with their eversolo device to care about any of their other products.
Thanks...is there a list of what works/doesn't work if installing Kodi 22.X directly...or a tutorial on how to get it to work properly? Or is ZDMC the only solution?
I have been using Kodi 22 for some months now after giving up on ZDMC. I am currently using the Pre-release build & all good. Picture quality is excellent. I'm using Aeon MQ9 4K skin & it is slick.
It uses Kodi video player, but with Zidoo hardware, quality is very good. I have been searching for a playercorefactory.xml file that works with Kodi to use the Zidoo engine but have been unable to source one that works. In the meantime, since I prefer the look & feel of Kodi over Zidoo interface, I have gone that route.
Getting back to my Z3000 Pro after sort of abandoning it. I use Emby and there are just way too many bugs with the Zidoo app or the side-loaded Android app... So I decided to give Kodi a try before frequenting the forums. I use Emby for Kodi NextGen exclusively and although it worked fine, I was getting micro judder/skipped frames. Which was my issue with Emby on the Zidoo in general. After reading this thread, I thought I'd give ZDMC a try in hopes the micro judder would be remedied. But i can't even get videos to play with the Zidoo player. It tries to load and then plays the audio but the screen goes back to the movie or show info screen. After a few hours of mucking with the settings, I gave up. I'm sure I missed something obvious. Not blaming ZDMC. Anyway, I decided to just force the Z3000 to 1080p - 23.976fps, instead of Best Available resolution. Then set the Kodi GUI to the same. That fixed all judder/frame skipping with Kodi/Emby. I'm not sure what I'm missing by not using ZDMC but I get all audio and video codecs with Kodi, so ignorance is bliss I guess.
